I'm guessing the Personna is the better price then.

Yeah, the Chicks are about $1 a blade. You can get Ted Pellas which have 20 blades in a magazine for $5.15 each. They are Personna blades PTFE coated. You can get the same blades for $7 at Andrews Shave Shop. So, $7 for 20 beats $7 for 7 any day.
I just saw what is probably Personna blades on Amazon for $17.88 for 60 blades. They are called Taconic, but they are made in the USA, so I am thinking Personna.

I'm guessing the NEW Supply blades are (like the old ones) made by the Personna folks.

At 8 for $6, they are close to Chicks.

The corners are a little more substantial than even Chicks.

The plastic key might be a bummer in older razors, it definitely puts more on the springing mechanism.

I do like them. I know a lot of folks do not have problems using the Personnas, I had them and would have sent the Supply razor back if that was all I had to use. Since the new ones are working for me, I ordered a Supply razor as a gift for my brother.

Here's the pic in this order:
    Proline
    NEW Supply
    Schick Chick
    Old Supply (Personna)

    Hope it helps.

Still doing some testing on the NEW Supply injector blades. Other stuff new from Stirling.

    Stirling Grapefruit with Menthol
    Stirling Collapsible Shave Bowl
Stirling 24x57mm High Mountain White Badger brush.
Supply polished stainless, 2 dot plate
New version blade from Supply (4)
    Stirling Grapefruit with Menthol AS

Been busy on vacation with the Mrs this week
Went in for an EchoCardioGram needed before another sleep study
Went to the lawyer to finalize our Will & stuff
Did my 4th and final sleep study so I can get a Positive Air Pressure machine
Working on the turkey leftovers..... I'll never make dressing/stuffing without bacon again..... Yum
Help prepare #2 offsprung estrog unit prepare for apartment living
    See the lawyer again
Breakfast buffet at the Amish Market.
Pack away huge hoard of new and not needed shave supplies
    Relax
Did I say turkey stuffing with bacon is awesome?
Found some time to get called names on a shave forum
And.... Thanksgiving dressing with bacon rules.

I tried soup and cereal in this bowl and it was horrible. Whoever said bowls are for soup clean missed it.

First drive with this brush. It barely fits in the smaller Stirling tubs or is it cakes, or pucks? Whatevah, The Blue Ming had come and gone, wet soap?, yup. (probably out pilfering my stuffing with bacon and gravy by now). I do gotta ask, do people really use brushes bigger than this? I mean, it exploded when it got wet.

Then with the little paddles I this bowl, I frothed up a suds like never seen. I mean it was spuming forth at spume warp 10. I'll probably have to duck when I use mutton tallow soap. If I go minimalist, this is the bowl, and $6. Max Headroom approved.

Every body knows how much value there is in all Stirling brushes (except maybe the boar shredders), this is no exception. If you wanna go badger, yup for performance, this one tops my hand tied, hand made Super Badger that cost me over 2x as much.

Supply Single Edge Stainless rocked it with 4 shaves on their new blade. I'll keep going, but not Excaliburistic.

Performance of the soap and AS are grest, like always. Stirling is usually awesome on citrusy stuff. Nothing bad here, but not enough bells ringing for a rebuy, certainly no Max Headroom hoarding.

Y'all have a great weekend. Back to woik Monday.

Thank you for the links and information.

Thank you for the compassion pictures.
I think I will try the Personna next and if you find the new supply to be better after more testing let us know.

That's a great looking brush and razor. But are you sure that's a lather bowl not a dry "herb" grinder. Never used one myself but I've seen them here and there.

    Your welcome.

Some folks love the Personna blades. I did not enjoy them.

The bowl is a collapsible neoprene from Stirling soap. I'm pretty sure it was designed specifically as a travel shaving bowl. Bowls aren't for everyone, but I like to move a lather past the puffed stage over to downright sloshy for my shavettes and straights. A bowl contains it nice. I face lather too when I am in a rush.

I could probably get some of the supply blades and load them into an empty chick dispenser I kept.
I was joking about the bowl. It actually looks really nice and that would be perfect for travel. I almost always use a bowl because I like the lather a bit on the wet side. My scuttle is a bit small for my favorite brush.

Today I received a great Schick E-2 (I believe). I didn't need another, but this one still has the blank insert and appears to have never been used. I have not cleaned it yet, so the pictures are as received.

Best of all, I won it at auction for $3.95!
