DECember Art of Shaving~~Simpson~~Boker Continuing my lavender escapades for the next few shaves. Up today was The Art of Shaving Lavender. This is the tallow-version, sadly no longer available, except on the secondary market. It doesn't take a great deal of effort to achieve a superlative lather See below: Can you say: "Goopy, gorgeous goodness"? Yes, you can. The lavender scent, like all of the AoS tallow soaps, is muted and comes with a secondary whiff of "fat". Results, however, are some of the finest in the shaving world. The Boker shaved like butter. Really, butter. And what's better than butter... Got a nice set-down slice on my left cheek. Mos def© left a mark...a dribbly mark. Busted out the styptic pencil. Finished the shave with the original formula ASG/ASB. Always look for the "for sensitive skin" to know that you are getting the vintage product. The sandalwood says "for normal skin" The lemon says...I can't remember.

Busy day, Rick! Great head and face shave. As far as the dribbling rear head wound, I would use paper towel to dry yourself to see if red appears. This way you know if your fine. If not, then use witchhazel and alcohol to take care of it. I know if I cut myself so I don't need the paper towel to find it. However, I use cold water with the paper towel to close it up quickly.
