  6. Glad your feeling better, I'm certain your mom will agree, enjoy the lunch and shopping. Sounds like a great day planed!

The Rex looks nice, is it an adjustable?
It seem like those who have one really like them.
Other than the missed area, you got it going quit well!

  7. Thanks Jim!
I'm certain most would be very happy with the shave it gives and.... 5 bucks ain't much.
I kinda need somthing "a cut above".
    Oh well....

  8. Thanks Daniel!

  9. Thanks, Terry! Most blades are sharp enough for me, but they do not last for long. Maybe i should give Feathers another shot.
  10. Hey Joseph, looking good there!
Love it when a razor just slides like that.
The cut, been there, done that!
We all know, it will get better!
    Great shave!

  11. Well Daniel, I had to get my technique down well, before the Feathers would work for me.
The only down side is once you get used to them, it's hard to use another lesser blade.
    Keep going!
    Your doing great!

Lazy day on this 8th day of Decadent December, led to a late morning shave, featuring one of my more efficient vintage razors, my Cooper Monobilt. Despite a late start, the razor delivered a dome and face BBS that has me continuing to feel that incredibly closely shaved dome. I feel smooth, clean and cool thanks to my Cryogen AS and M-Bomb additive to my shaving soap!

    SOTD 12/08/19

    RAZOR: Cooper Monobilt
    BLADE: Suneko
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a face and dome scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Preshave Soap
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
SOAP: Declaration Grooming Sellout salted w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Ciseled Face Cryogen AS Splash
  13. Dec 8th
    Decedent December

    Razor: Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade: Gillette 7O'Clock Yellow (1)
    Brush: EverReady 500BN
    PS: Proraso Green
SS: Men's Soap Company Bay Rum
    AS: Proraso Red

I fear my shave reports are getting a little boring, but what can I say, they're shave reports.

Another great 3 pass shave with a fun razor. BBS on my face and jaw. I'm not even going for BBS on my neck, but still feels really good. The major improvements lately have been understanding my bread grain and how to shave the different areas as well as order of strokes. I have gone to an area on my face and thought, not ready for ATG. So do a touchup XTG and then ATG for much better results.

  14. Wonderful Sunday shaves, Jeff and Evan!
  15. Thanks, Jim!
  16. Good to hear that you’re developing a better understanding of your beard topography. There’s no need to strive towards BBS when in most cases a DFS is more than satisfactory. Nice toolkit! Great shave!
  17. Great shave with an interesting toolkit!
  18. Pairing the right knot with the right handle takes some time, and is a bigger deal than many people realize. I’m still going through this process too. In the end, the right pairings makes all the difference in the world.
  19. Thank you Terry. The Rex Ambassador is adjustable. They did release a three piece on Black Friday.
