  1. "...There’s no need to strive towards BBS when in most cases a DFS is more than satisfactory...."

  2. Sound like a great shave, Joseph! The AS-D2 is often tagged as a mild razor, but with a sharp blade it’s capable of handling any beard terrain, Terry’s, of course being in a class by itself! Enjoy your Sunday. I have an incredibly long Honey-do list to get started on.
  3. YES!

  4. Great shave, Jim! I'm looking forward to using my Occam’s after I run through my vintage razors.
  5. Great shave Evan!
That beard growth thing is the secret to a wonderful shave. Well...after you get your technique down.

  6. Great shave, Clint! I was having a similar issue with my Rex. You might want to dial it up a few notches. I was missing spots, and requiring additional post pass buffing until I dialed my Rex up to 5. No issues any longer!
  7. Thank you, Jeff!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Occam's.

I still haven't decided on what I'm going to use tomorrow.
  8. Last time i tried Feathers they did work decently in mild razors, but they did feel a bit harsh. Maybe i'll buy a few tucks next time i'm ordering something else.
My technique is far from perfect, but it is quite a lot better than what it used to be! Still a lot of room for improvement.
    Thanks!
  9. Great shave, Terry! Sounds like those Gem blades are better suited to those famous whiskers of yours. Enjoy your day!
  10. Great shaves, gents!
  11. Daniel:
I like Menthol as well, and try to include it in every shave. Enjoy your day!
  12. Great shave with a fabulous razor and a great blade!
  13. Don't push it!
Take your time, you'll find out what works for you. Then...:):)!

  14. Menthol makes nearly every shave better! Thanks, you too!
  15. Great looking brush, Joe! Enjoy it!
  16. Thanks Jeff!
    I'd prefer a lesser bead!
The reason I started looking for somthing else to shave with a few years ago.
The carts were just pulling and tugging my face, it would make the eyes water, I had to get some relief! I read an article about a guy that had the same issues, his cure, is working for me!
Wish I'd found this Much earlier in life.
I've went from a total disgust of having to shave, to just a mild hate. It got much better!
    Oh well....

  17. Bombay Sapphire! ikm not a gin drinker, but I'm told it is preferred by many! Scotch and bourbon are my thing (Oban and Maker’s Mark). Hope you enjoy it!
  18. You are right, no question. I always try to preface that something new has worked well for me personally, doesn’t mean it will for others. What often happens for me is that I will read a review of something from someone I share commonalities with (like Perry for scents or Clint for synthetics for example) and then choose to get it based on a positive review.
  19. Great shave, glad to hear the razor/blade combo worked so well! Enjoy your day!
  20. When i'll try them, Slim Twist would be a good razor to start with. Mild and very comfortable with nearly any blade that i've tried it with. But i'm not going to buy probably any more shaving stuff this year, i have three old razors and 100 blades, few bottles of AS and such on the way already. There are a few soaps that i'd like to try (NSC Juniper for example), but that can wait for a while. :D
