1. My step uncle in Mississippi sent me this straight razor for my birthday. I have no idea who made it and I have my doubts of it being an actual shavable SR since I can’t find any makers mark or indicators where the razor is made. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 3. I don't think I would want to shave with it. That is one of the strangest looking spine designs I've ever seen. Doesn't seem like it would lend itself well to honing.

  4. I tried to find that exact razor but got bored scrolling through their idea of what a SR should be :(

I am 99% sure it is an outfit called Hailstone, they started making razors in 2018, their early stuff was not well received, they were typical Knife guys "Thinking" they knew what a SR was.

It looks like some of there newer stuff MIGHT be on the right track

I have NOT honed one of theirs yet, nor am I recommending them

But that razor looks like their work

  5. For the life of me, I can't figure out what they are even trying for with these designs. It almost looks like they want it to look like you dug it up in an ancient archeological site where it had been buried for several hundred years...

And yeah, there's no shaving with a screwy edge like that.
  6. I like the job they did with pinning the scales.
