    Terry:
I prefer my Vector over my Hawk. That slim head is really nice. I have pretty heavy whiskers too, and was put off by some comments that the Vector was a mild shaver. My experience is that it’s mild in that it’s really smooth, but an AC blade is an AC blade! They have always been able to mow down my whiskers and do a great job as a noggin scraper as well. The Vector is so slim and maneuverable that it’s a pleasure to shave with.

    Wow! Awesome shave!
    Thank you, Joe!
    Thanks, Clint!
I have some more unlearning to do.
    Thanks, Jeff!
Right now I'm using it like any of my SE's. Just find the angle and go, albeit with more pressure than I would normally use.

Thank you, Joe. B&M is pretty good soap. A little gooey, but gets the job done.

Thank you, Douglas. The Persian Jar handle has no edges and feel great in the hand. Very easy to hold. The Best Badger knot is extremely soft, yet doesn't sacrifice backbone. Zero scritch. Decent flow-through.

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: Kai Captain Mild
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Soap: Stirling Ozark Mountain
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Ozark Mountain aftershave

No shave yesterday, so plenty for the Hawk to mow down this morning. Wonderful lather and easy shaving overall. No weepers, unlike Saturday, and all worked together quite well. Nice way to begin the work week.

    Enjoy your day!

It has been a busy few days for me. My oldest got pneumonia last week, and on Friday it got worse, so I left work a bit early to take her to an urgent care center as my wife was also sick. Luckily, the pneumonia wasn't actually getting worse, but she had caught a stomach virus at the same time. I spent the weekend handling things around the house so my wife and oldest could recover. I spent lots of time with he other three kids and a fair amount of time taking trips to the store, so not much time for shaving or checking in here. The good news is that my daughter got up a little after I did and was hungry, so she is definitely feeling better.

Cold Spices is becoming a favorite Menthol Monday shave, as I just love the scent. Two passes with this razor mowed down three days of growth, and I ended with a near BBS. I hope everyone has been doing well and has a great day!

I put the razor against my face and put enough pressure to engage the pivot. The I use long shaving strokes and let the pivot handle the change in angles. When I pull the razor away from my face, I hear the click as the head springs back into place.
