Arrived a 1947 Milord. It was incorrectly listed as a Gold Super Speed. One question. Note the "collar" just above the top knurling. This razor is the same as my US Aristocrat Jr (no notch w/wings) except it's Gold. My 47 Super Speed does not have a collar but also no notch w/wings. I was under the impression that the collar was only on the 47 Aristocrat Jr. I've looked at other random pics on the net and it appears that some 47 Milords (not 46's) have the collar and some don't? Mr Razor's 47 Milord shows a collar. Of interest Mr Razor's 47 Super Speed Set also shows a collar. Wrong razor in the S-Speed box or has the "collar" feature just migrated between all three 47 models?
Though not shave related you could make a case to shave with it, not recommended to do so; I received a mig gas and gasless welder for Christmas early. If I was marketing it as a shaver I'd call it a heated band razor no shave cream necessary.
What brand and model number? Used to work for a welding supply company that sold all sorts of things welding related.
It is an Eastwood Mig 135. It should be more than good enough for any home related projects I want to work on. I also got it at a really good sale price even though it is technically a gift from someone else who will reimburse me for buying it.
Another vintage Caravelle, this time a later quartz. Squint and it looks like the classic Seiko 5, which I bet Caravelle wanted to copy in a bad way. Needs an oyster bracelet. Also found this... Not sure how old but there's no website on it.
I just got a RazoRock Old Type mainly for the handle on sale at Groomatorium for $8.00. After looking it over and actually having it in my hands, I think I'll give it a go. This is the very first NEW razor I own. Also picked up a puck of Fine Platinum soap and splash. Done a test lather with the soap last night and it appears to be some pretty good stuff plus the smell is amazing and last quite a while. Got several "damn, you smell goods" last night.
