Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse Arko High Performance Shave Cream Tom's 3D Printed Brush Kamisori CWR Lilac Vegetal My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Arko Shave Cream face lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Kamisori razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
A Christmas gift from my friend @Steveclarkus, as this is a J. R. Rowe restoration. "S.R. Droescher existed 1891-1924, manufacture of razors began ca. 1916. This importer was at 77-79 Warren St., New York City. Severin R.Droescher was the owner. S.R. Droescher made razors in a factory in Cranbury, New Jersey, and imported some others from Solingen, Germany. Most likely, some razors for him were made by Friedr. Baurmann & Söhne, Solingen (also the owner of Peter Hahn trademark). http://strazors.com/index.php?id=347&doc=peter_hahn_s_r_droescher_solingen_germany_
Tanifuji-made 13/16 Cape Swedish Steel 2000, cream was the always superb Acqua di Parma (Colonia scent) lathered with a Keyhole 4, and a little AdP balm and EdT finished up . Perfect BDBS and PSF and scent. The razor is unusual in that it’s one of the very few Japanese razors that is hollow enough to ‘sing’. They much preferred heavier grinds and I’ve only seen four 2000s over the past few years and I own 3 of them. The cream is a new edition for AdP, returning to the Colonia scent (applause). It performs as well as the last edition, Collezione Barbiere, but if anything seems more concentrated, so far I’ve ended up with more lather than I could use in 2 passes, and it wants to overflow the bowl, using a similar amount as compared to SMN for example.

A little Jewel of France... Picked up this Thiers Issard Flying Tudor Rose “Bijou De France” as part of a pretty classy 7 day mixed lot. Beautiful blade with some nice spine work. The scales are nice bone, but they do throw the balance off... the spine wants to rotate away from your face, driving the edge into skin, if not checked. Shaving Shop’s Warrior of Howling Fjord soap, followed up with Stirling Mountain Man, made for an excellent evening shave. Enjoy your shave. Tom
A Tanuki, a Fox, and a Badger walk into a den... Some Lea menthol cream and a friend’s citrus/lavender/wood soap smoothed it out.
