i .i hope they were good times..i thoroughly enjoyed beers with friends, for decades..and still do....
They were! A few of my friends had a "band" that played around locally. Tams, Otis Redding, rythm & blues, mid 60s music. Most of them were still in high school, but the singer and I would run around during the week about that. It was usually good for a pizza and a couple of "tall blues" while we were out. We had a place back then that sold good hot dogs, bar pizzas and really cold beer. Curb service out the back door in a large, dark back parking lot. And people working there that wasn't overly concerned with IDs as long as you didn't cause a disturbance which no one did for fear of not being allowed back there again. A fellow didn't want to ruin one of a very few sources he had then. This is the place. The parking lot referred to was behind it to the left in this picture.
I survived the stomach bug AKA the Creeping Crud AKA the Barf n Squirts. I was feeling a nasty headache all day Friday, then midnight and then there was all night action. Maybe not manly, but I survived and I'm starting to feel human again. Maybe I'll shave tomorrow morning.
Like @brit said, Glad you're feeling better!"BUT" Before you put too much trust into your recovery, refer back to my post "Walmart Job Interview" in "Dirty Jokes." Keep that in mind for a day or few!!
Today, I started to learn about how to tune the recurve bow. I was successful in making an adjustment to the angles of the limbs.
I hung a plaque on my wall and got it level (something at which I do not excel.). This will be used to display my archery medals.
The TSD manliness quotient is dropping during the holidays! I skied yesterday - manliness neutral I think. Planted about sixty grand fir seedlings today, filling in the holes left in the previous planting. That’s manly.
Went for a 2 hour bike ride in the rain because it was the first time in the last month that I was able to ride during daylight hours. Not really manly. It pretty much sucked, but was sorely needed.
