Thanks, Joe! I was surprised too, Joe! This razor is a good little shaver. I’ve never been a big fan of the Gillette Techs. I don’t find them as efficient as I have come to expect from those razors I really like. As my technique has improved I find myself cranking up my Black Beauty adjustable and Slim Adjustable to 7. I’m one of those odd birds in the safety razor community who enjoys blade feel. Of course, you straight shavers take it as a given.
It's been a long time since I last shaved with Gillette Foamy, but I did(and do)remember how nice it comes out of the can and spreads across my face. While the shave was fine overall, I did miss an area I usually get, on the neck, just below the right ear. I think I need to squeeze more out next time. It's interesting how these shaving creams/foams "behave" inside their cans....some come out like squiggly snakes, others in chunks(and this is after shaking all cans). Aqua Velva Musk provided for a nice finish.

Thanks Clint! GEM sold a blade tha was a, get this, double sided, for single edge razors. When one side was dull, you just flipped it over to use side two. No spline on that one either. Looking around the web a bit, I noticed that the blades used with the "shovel head" didn't have a spine either. The Star razor had no spline. Interesting don't you think?? tp
Dec 15th Decedent December Razor: Rhodium Gillette RedTip Blade: Polsilver (2) Brush: Razorock Plisoft Barber 24 PS: Proraso Green SS & AS: Stirling Executive Man It's hard to believe it's already the 15th. I'm off work from the 20th through Jan 2nd. Yeah! Anyway, I had another great shave with the RedTip. I definitely get better results with the more aggressive razors. Again I can feel the blade so I don't feel the need apply pressure. 3 passes with no cleanup. Near BBS. I can't go for BBS everytime especially the day after a straight razor shave. DFS for sure. I admit, I thought Decedent December would involve more people showing off the top end of their collections. Turns out most people are just using their favorites whatever that may be. Awesome!
Aren't those the razors that sell for more than list on ebay? It would seem you have an out. But, I'm guessing the thought of selling it is even more upsetting to that delicate stomach of yours.
