    Aftershave: Italian Barber Amici

    I had used the last of my RR XXX beard oil yesterday. So...seeing as how my wife makes her own soaps and lotions and has an ample supply of essential oils (see pic), I looked up a few beard oil recipes online and persuaded her to mix me up one. It is a citrus mint. Very nice, unobtrusive scent. A couple drops goes a long way. Adds a subtle sheen and because it truly is all natural, it's gotta be good for the whiskers. So for me, no more store bought oils. Kind of hard to justify paying a lot for a 1 oz. bottle. I've seen some oils going for between $20 and $40 for 1 oz.
    To be fair and for those without the ingredient resources, the RazoRock XXX is the best value out there. Does a very nice job and pairing it with the RR XXX soap & aftershave is a treat.

    Although, sometimes...late at night...I hear a soft cackling as well as the subtle sound of a large cast iron pot being stirred. I've not yet dared to enter her domain after dark.

    I am being cautious. Her Christmas wish list this year included a bat house and a newt aquarium. I'm having a hard time locating a scale from a dragon however. Amazon had the wolf's tooth.
