Great shave this morning. Perhaps a little too close. The Alum stung a little but no real irritation otherwis. I will need to watch it tomorrow. The next day seems where these boarderline problems show up.

Cryogen is not a good soap for cool mornings. My wife came in and let all the nice warm steamy air out of my shave den... I think my nose got frostbite.

Just an OK shave early this morning. A nice lather from this never ending soap, but ended up swapping blades halfway through the first pass. The Voskhod was on its 3rd shave and that should have been fine, but it was very pully and dull. Swapped out to an Astra that was under the sink and everything returned to normal. Interesting. Had 45 hrs growth or so, but that shouldn't have made a big difference.
I like this splash, but when I walked into my son's room to wake him up, all I heard was 'What smells?'. Insolent youth.
    Have a great day all!

    Nice photo as always, Daniel.
Good idea- coming right back with the same gear to eliminate the variables...a true 30DC approach, Jim!
You even change out GEM blades daily, Terry? Very interesting. They are obviously thicker and I thought you'd get a few more days from one.
A new soap! You must be very, very happy about that Joe.
Fwiw, I like a Super Adjustable set at 7 as well, Jeff. Love the simple '48 as well. I have a few in handles as there was a sale a few years ago that had them cheaper than even the plain handled '49s.
I thought you didn't own a green brush, Gary? Simply wonderful colour accents again.
Am I nuts (please don't answer that...) or did your LE not have a boar knot in it? Lovely greenery, Clint. It is getting cold here now and the grass has lost its greenery.
Great photo effect, Jim! Yup, I hear you on the electrical...
    Safe travels, Perry!
Great photo, Danny! You could also use some Noir in there, too...
Love that Hive everytime you show it, Joseph! Should we call you Bobby McGee?
Yup, we have medallians in the dining room, living room and upstairs landing. SWMBO has spoken... we also used to have textured ceilings everywhere and now we don't have many left. THAT is the worst job ever...
I love the descriptions of Cryogen, Evan! The toggle isn't too shabby, either.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Yaqi Knight-Helmet
    Zorrik Super Platinum
Stirling Butterscotch Fan (24mm, Frigate Class)
    SP Dottie lather bowl
Stirling Iced Pineapple soap and AS

I had two first use products and a decadent favorite in my lineup today. First use of the Yaqi Knight helmet head. This is one menacing looking head, it has a huge blade gap and blade edge looks like it sticks out well past the guard. I loaded a new Zorrik Super Platinum blade and spent a good time making sure I had a super slick lather. A couple of careful strokes with the razor and I learned that I had nothing to fear. This razor does have a definite blade feel to it but it was not harsh at all. The Zorrik was a nice surprise also, plenty sharp and smooth cutting. This combo made for a really decadent shave and man-o-man can that Knight helmet deliver. Three passes to a face rubbing BBS shave. A generous splash of Iced Pineapple to keep the face freeze going with a scent that brings a smile to my face. What a great start to the week!

Have a great day my friends!
