  1. Mike:
Welcome to RAD! Look forward to having you join us next month! Clint’s right, just dive in on the first of next month. Share you shave report, and then it’s off to the races!
  2. Happy Birthday to the new teenager!
Terrific shave and picture, Jason. Enjoy your time off.
    Nice, Evan!
    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for sharing, Mike! I’m newer than you with TSD (July), and have been shaving(or should I say wet-shaving) since 1962, but steadily and regularly since 1969. My experience has been the same as yours in one sense! I was all caught up in old man aches and pains until I encountered this great community. People here are unselfish and kind. It’s a great group!
  4. Welcome aboard, Mike! No need to wait until next month, jump in anytime.
Are you looking to do a rule or focus or just joining in on the monthly themes? Of course you don't have to do any of those to be a part of the 30DC, just have fun.
  5. From left Superspeed (C4), FatBoy (D3), Slim (I3), Superspeed (L1)

Hopefully you can see that the head geometries are similar between the earlier razors, but was updated later.
  6. Thanks, Jason!

  8. Thanks, Jason! I had to actually look them up, the brands aren't sold here. Sure they are classics, maybe i'll try them next.. :D

Skin Bracer is actually getting quite hard to find over here. Actually i can't really find any alcohol based aftershaves in the grocery stores. I have to order pretty much everything online, except balms and canned stuff if i want it.
  9. Star Wars in 3D will be great fun!

    So...backstory to Polar Express evening.

Yesterday, reminded the girls they can't make plans for Friday afternoon/evening. It's all been a surprise. My youngest (10th grade now) asks what she's supposed to wear. As soon as I told her PJs, she's screaming, 'We're going to see Polar Express again!'. And without missing a beat she remembers....'Hey, isn't this the theatre y'all took us in 3rd and 4th grade where I almost barfed cause of the stair/seating angle & hemispheric huge screen?'. Uh, yeah honey, I'm sure they still have barf bags..... :signs081:
  10. Ahhh, the memories...:happy097:
Favourite family movie memory for us? Easy- Last summer, we were in Vancouver (other side of the province, 10 hr drive) and saw the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra do 'The Empire Strikes Back'. Totally awesome- movie on huge screen in lovely old Orpheum theatre with the VSO doing all the music live.
  11. I emailed this gent and invited him to check out the 30DC. Hope he decides to check us out.

  12. I prefer the fatboy to a super speed;which is surprising. My comparison isn’t very scientific; I guess I comparing it to ‘50’s model super speeds.

  13. Now that would be awesome! John Williams' orchestra soundtracks are some of the absolute best.

The 'Home Alone' presentation my oldest daughter and I went to last Saturday night was done that way (but no where as cool music!). Music done live, movie on a big screen in the performance hall. My daughter's French Horn lessons teacher is the principal horn player, and she always invites students to her performances. Sadly, we're the only ones that go. She's also in another orchestra around DFW, this Sunday we're going see her perform for The Nutcracker. Fun holiday times!

  18. Very nice shave, Evan! The Christmas Eve and the Frankincense and Myrrh soaps are nice scents. Now, you may be iffy on the F and M, but Christmas Eve will keep you in the Christmas spirit. My personal take on these scents is that they can be used all year round because they are not overpowering. However, you may disagree with me.

  20. Sorry about working most of the holiday, Clint! It sounds like Asha's BF is a swell young man.
