Great picture and shave Gary. Love the outdoor shot but I wish you would bring out the models every now and then.
Thanks Clint. You are so right. I am not trying to make a show bike out of it, just something fun to play with.
Yes, it has! I am glad you got a great shave with what I consider a great shavette. Thanks for honoring my anniversary by shaving with it, Danny! Someone once said, that if you can shave with a shavette, then you can shave with anything. What blade did you use?
Astra SP, it was kinda funny. I loaded a blade in it earlier this week but took the blade out for the FuzzTech. I forgot there was no blade in the Dovo and tried to make one pass with no blade. Of course by then I had lather on the Dovo and I am scratching my head but I finally remembered. Oh, well it was a funny moment. Take care Joe.
That is funny! However, I had the blade in the insert and as I was shaving, the edge disappeared because it got dislodged by the shaving soap. I only realized it after a couple of strokes and was wondering why I wasn't getting any audible feedback.
Decadent December!!! December 21 Razor - 1946 - '47 Gillette Aristocrat Blade - (2) Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - 30DC Meet Up w/ TGN Grade A Silvertip Post - Alum Happy Yule! The sun now starts its slow turn to the north and we can look forward to the days getting longer again which means an eventual end to snow and more hours to shave! Tonight I returned back to the Aristocrat with Sharp Star since I interrupted it for my anniversary shave yesterday. And, since I didn't use the MWF on Fat Friday, I just made Saturday a Fat day instead. The 30DC Meet up with Silvertip made that easy to do. Three full passes and it was as smooth as silk and left me perfectly smooth and quite content on a Yule night. Hope you have a great night and a better tomorrow!
