Well guys..sorry to say but that BoS didn't quite agree with me. The performance and face&neck feel was no issue.....normal Stoylin greatness there...but I just can't dive into the fragrance. Maybe once in a while, but it won't be a regular.
I guess it's the best kind in these times.....we want them to say "Wow, you smell great", but that would have been the comment back in the 40's and 50's.
Would be for me, too, John. As for BoS.....guess it won't be a nominee in the 2021 Stoylin Tonys after all. But I'll keep it around.
John, it'd be just my luck of some "pretty" woman at Piggly tells me my aftershave smells great. And then if she tops that off by saying, I'm glad you aren't wearing Clubman. Y'know?????????
Yeah, very hard to predict how a woman will react to aftershave. I've lived with my wife for so long I pretty well know how she'll react - though sometimes she still surprises me.
As you know, the only woman who has reacted positively to my aftershave was the one at the local Piggly....the female "bloodhound". Others maybe, but the others keep quiet about it.
I had added Christmas Eve, Stirling Spice and Frankincense and Myrrh last month. Finally tried them last week and they are nice scents.
I was wrestling between Christmas Eve or Frankincense and Myrrh. Chose CE--no regrets there, but I AM curious to know what Frankin-myrrh is like. What are your thoughts?
It's a scent that is hard to describe. It is a pleasant, clean scent that isn't overpowering. Although it is associated with Christmas, in my opinion, you can use it all year round which is also true for Christmas Eve. F and E is not a dark, smokey scent. I would classify it as a sweet scent. Finally, I would say that it's not a wow, this is wonderful kind of scent and I got to have it, but on the other hand, it is not a turnoff. I like it because it is different.
Different-that D word. That's how I'd describe Blood on Steel. By the way, when using it Saturday, it eventually developed a nice scent.....but not right away. As many of us say, it "grew on me".
Glad you finally liked the 2019 Stirling BoS. I liked it right off the bat! However, I hardly use it because it is more of a cologne scent which I use for mixed social events.
