Reef Point Submariner today. 20 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Schick Plus Platinum still in the vintage Gillette 40’s Style Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Reef Point Submariner aftershave.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Cella Crema Da Barba face lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Schick M2 Adjustable razor with a Schick Proline blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella Balsamo Dopobarba. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

What a big improvement this Proraso Green soap underwent - now it’s exactly the way it was when I started to use it many years ago. The scent is slightly different in a nice way, the lather is still great, it’s still got good cooling, but the skincare is much better. The Prep and Proraso Green aftershave were a perfect finish. Another A1 BBS shave!

I would call this shave "partly excellent". Got a cut right off the bat, which took my mind off focusing on the shave, kind of. But I loaded well with the Stoylin Pro-Handle, which led to a real nice shave(post-cut). CTS is wonderful soap. I'm still trying to figure out why a reviewer called it a "Stoylin rip-off". Perhaps he felt it was just as good as Stoylin. CTS is a little less pricy, but not by much. I've been very happy with it. I ordered the Weekend Rodeo after Greg took out the Bentonite Clay. Rodeos have been around since 1863-a classic "throwback". And while I don't have a date for when the Leather industry began here in the U.S., I'm sure that was a long time ago, too.

 

Looks like a great one all right. Another Plissoft day, eh?

 

My understanding is he bought two, one for himself and one for me as a gift.

 

Hahahaha. I hear those are considered toxic waste. PM me so I can give you an address so I can procure.... I mean properly dispose of such toxic waste.

Tobacco Thursday
My wife got me the Model T for Christmas, and this was my first shave with it. I am already very impressed. I used it wide open and it was very efficient and completely comfortable. It is well balanced and beautiful. It shaved closer than the 6s on the 6 plate and every bit as smooth. It sounds different as it mows down the stubble, more hollow-like. My face feels and smells great.

I took two Schicks for a family road trip to my son’s house for the holidays. I’ve spent plenty of time with my C3 and it’s a favorite. The D somehow gets overlooked but not on this trip. Super smooth and efficient. Both razors make you marvel at the quality of the shaves.
