Thank you, Danny! I just love shaving with the Dovo shavette! I understand that Dovo isn't making the long 1/2 blades for the black insert. Now, your option is the red or white insert for the reg 1/2 DE blade or green insert and Personna headshaper blade.
Thank you, Keith! I know that I sound like a broken record, but the Dovo Shavette introduced me to open blade shaving. I didn't know any better, but I was doing a headshave without mirrors at shavette shave #16 and figured I probably could transition to straights. I believe developing the soft touch with the Dovo helped me to quickly the corner using a traditional straight razor. I believe that you would do well with a Dovo shavette because your a very experienced straight razor shaver. It would be a good travel razor.

December 26 Razor - Gillette New SC Deluxe (Matthew the Haunted Razor and Ghost of Christmas Past/Present/Future) Blade - (2) Soap - Tabac Brush - The Moreau Hybrid Post - Alum Happy Boxing Day! Yeah, ok, I know it's called that, really don't know why even though I spent time up North. But, if it's an extra holiday, why not, eh? It's also Tabac Thursday so the Tabac came out along with the I*V10 Hybrid brush. Great and easy lather to set up the slick runway for the shave. The New SC Deluxe with the Voskie was smooth as silk again and provided no issues on a three pass relaxing time of shaving. Alum was quiet and all's well in Cartel land. Dec 27 shave: Brian Brown 6/8 full hollow. The Tom White B400 did it's job, Tabac did it's job and so did the Brian Brown. An excellent shave and off to work.

Another great shave but yet another day of warmer than usual alum. My recent shaves with the Dart haven't been as smooth. I dropped it pretty hard on the tile floor awhile back and I'm wondering if I did some unseen damage. The baseplate doesn't seem to be tweaked at all. Set on a flat surface it won't rock like I think it would if damaged. Maybe it's just me. Have a great day!
I'm back in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for my daughter's winter school holiday, just one shave setup for the three weeks, the Razorock Eco with Suneko blades. The Eco can get tuggy going ATG on my head which keeps it from five star status. But it's an otherwise excellent performer. I think I am really going to like the new Omega EVO synthetic brush. First impressions are very positive. Three passes with touch ups and buffing caught the baby.
