A well used dubl duck Goldedge provided the whisker removal this evening. 13/16” with a decent amount of gold & blue remaining, paired with scales that are holding in there and not yellowing too bad yet. Overall, a decent user of a Duck... quack quack. Enjoy your shave. Tom

Shave #55 on the Filly 14 Sub Cero edge longevity test, still no marked falloff so holding up better than the others I’ve tested at this point. Soap was 3P lathered with a Simpsons 58, and a dab of ABC almond balm finished up. But wait, why is there a Cointreau bottle in the image? It’s from my travel kit. Liqueur miniature bottles make great travel containers, they’re made to hold alcohol, they’re classier than plastic kit from Amazon or Walmart, and you get a couple of shots of liqueur with each one. Time to shop for new travel bottles, lol.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that razor? I love the theme. I am a big fan of the gadsden flag. I don't know that I can afford one, but would love to put it on the top of my list. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse Cella Crema Da Barba Jayaruh #199 Rocket 5/8 CWR Cella Balsamo Dopobarba My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Cella Crema Da Barba face lathered well with Jayaruh #199 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Rocket 5/8 razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Cella Balsamo Dopobarba. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Lots of Monkey business going on this morning gentlemen, Gold Monkey business! I was comparing edges from two different finishers, and razor M-3 won by a tiny margin for smoothness. However, I’ve noted that M-3 seems to shave a little better than some of the other Monkeys, so I’m going to swap razors and re-test. The difference couldn’t be Gold Dollar quality control could it? Lol. Cream was AdP Colonia as was the balm, and a Keyhole 4 did the mixology in a Sori Yanagi (Aesop) bowl.
H. Boker & Co.’s “Finest Grade” Not sure why exactly, but Bokers don’t land on my radar often, but the design of this one grabbed my attention. The MOP covered tang is beautiful and the blade design matched the effort on the tang. The blade face seems pretty fragile, but luckily I have a few other razors to rotate through. Enjoy your shave. Tom

Three days of laziness turned into bbs with three effortless passes. This is one loud razor! Almost makes my TI’s seem like they’re mute G
Flic Williams homemade synthetic brush A nostalgic shave this morning. I started using Williams over 50 years ago and can still get a lather out of the new stuff. I'd have to admit to it almost taking as long to whip up a lather as it took to shave, lol. I can't complain about the quality of the shave, it was very good. This Flic is a nice shaving blade. Have a good one.
Swapped the finishers and re-did yesterdays shave, mostly to see if the razors were an influence - in yesterday’s shave M-3 on the karasu finisher edged out (pun intended, lol) M-2 on the kiita. Today I could not tell a difference. But lots more testing to be done. Cream was SMN lathered with a TOBS Super Badger, and the balm was SMN body balm.
