    I did!

First, second, third, fourth, and fifth impression: I really enjoy it and have replaced Vanilla Sandalwood with it. It's warm and distinctive with something floating around in the background that I can't quite place, but seems almost cinnamon-y to me.

That said, I can certainly see how this might be considered a polarizing scent. Off the puck it's strong (in a not so good way), but gets considerably more subtle once lathered up. After the rinse-down, The Missus actually likes it, but whipped up in the bowl... not so much. Seeing as I don't plan on walking around with lather on my face all day long, however, I'm calling that a win.

Full disclosure: I do like scents that march to the beat of their own drum, and I know that's not everybody's cup of tea. Baker Street, Sandpiper, and now Texas on Fire are the three I'm currently rolling with.

I get a hint of cinnamon as well. The more I use it, the more I think I'm gonna have to go ahead and buy the full tub and the splash is pretty great as well.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting a full puck for my shave stick when I get close to the bottom of my sample.

Funny thing is, my sister bought a sample of the EDT a year or so back, and it was just awful. If the AS mellows down like the soap, I may have to try a sample next time I order.

I haven't tried any of the EDT's yet. I have one of Executive Man coming. The TOF tones down after a few minutes and I catch a wiff of it for a few hours. It's real smokey at first but then the goodness kicks in. Good stuff.

I've done horseback riding...which at times included some trotting...slow trotting but still we were moving faster.

If the Lovan's keep making it, I'm gonna keep buying it. I think I find my favorite scent, get in a new order, new favorite. I guess when I get all of them I'll be able to decide.

You’re right, I keep ordering and discovering new scents, and find myself pleased almost every single time. The three scents in your photo are exceptional. A most recent surprise was Vanilla Sandalwood. I risked a full tub of soap, now the AS is on the list for my next order.

Some further thought.....I bet the product I was looking for recently and nominated last month might have been up just for Black Friday, then taken down.

I've been having fun with the new bowl I got from Stirling. I changed the water/product ratio (more product and less water than at first) and hand have been working it a little more and am now getting the denser lather that I prefer. Will still be primarily a face latherer but have been having fun with the bowl and I really like the design of the bowl. Another great product from Stirling.

I take it that by "having fun with it" you've been popping it all over the map :).

Well, well. NB19 has been over for, what, three hours now? Just ordered me a Sandpiper and a Tsuka soap & splash.

    Happy new year, all!

Happy New Year to all. Frijolero great job! I hope you really enjoy both Sandpiper and Tsuka. Since 2019 was supposed to be NB for me and I broke it, I've decided to make 2020 a Limited Buy (LB20) for me. Of course Limited Buy is a subjective term...

No just just experimenting and enjoying making lots of good lather in it.
