A smooth and comfortable 3 pass shave with the Hiram Commander. No, it doesn’t shave like my beloved Cobra Classic but, it does a very nice job of clearing the whiskers without any fear of cutting oneself and zero irritation (look up the Occam’s/OREN razor write ups and it’s pretty much that besides the gorgeous handle) to speak of. It won’t be replacing the Cobra Classic anytime soon. The Enoch shaves closer to the Cobra. Great evening and wonderful shaves to all....​

Great looking shave Gus. I think the Enoch is similar to the Cobra Classic with more blade feel. Do you think the Enoch is closer to the Asylum or the Cobra Classic?

Clint, I think the Enoch is closer to the Cobra Classic. Though I’ve only one shave, it does not exhibit any of the blade forwardness feel and potential harshness of the Asylum Rx. I find the Enoch to be an efficient yet very comfortable razor just like the Cobra. That being said, if one is careless with either the Cobra or Enoch you will feel the bite from them...

Wow this day got away from me. I actually shaved in the late afternoon as I am planning on shaving early afternoon tomorrow before I head out for a hopefully busy and money filled night. Still with the Toggle and Sharp Star. It's Menthol Monday so I stayed with a Stirling Iced soap. Just changed over to Iced Coffee for the final Monday. Iced Pineapple is decadent, yes, but so is the Iced Coffee. And....it's rare at the moment so there's that. Wonderful coffee scent made into a lather by the Meet Up brush and three passes ended in a perfect shave!

One more day this year and we're off on a new year for the 30DC!! Thanks to everyone for a fantastic year and look for the January post around noon tomorrow. Don't give up on December yet, by the way.....we still have 25 hours to go!!!

Monday December 30th SOTN

A good but not great shave - I always try to push these feather blades one too many... I need to keep 3 as the max. More than that results in a somewhat rougher hack at my beard. I still have a few rough patches at the jaw line. I'll stop and try fresh tomorrow. Happy shaves all.
