The Razorock Eco no pic you've seen it is really weak under the nose. Tuggy going sideways and rough at steep angle north-south. Maybe I'll grow a Cambodia moustache. Here's food instead. One of the most iconic of Khmer dishes, nom banh chok. Fish noodle curry under all those flowers. Bout $1.25 . Sent from my LG-US998 using Tapatalk
Good morning and a very Happy New Year to all. I have been noticeably absent lately, as my colleague at work has been on vacation, and I have been taking her early shift, with arrival at 5:15am. Getting up at 4:15am, it's all I can do to get my coffee and peruse the newspaper. I ahem often said in the past, if I don't have time for a relaxing shave, I would rather not shave. I have broken my own rule on occasion, but stick to it fairly well. This year, starting with January, I am going to challenge myself to...get ready...no one else, to my knowledge, has ever attempted such a feat...to do 12 monthly Soap/AS foci. . Also, short of committing to the NB '20 thread, I am embarking on a year of austerity. My wife's car bit the dust, so we now have a car payment; something we haven't had since 2008. My 17 year old truck is in the shop and who knows how many miles remain. I own enough gear to sink a small fishing vessel and justifying $$ going towards more shave gear is going to be mos def© out of the question. In the past, I have failed at NB's...which will be harder than 30dc's, to which I have proven that I can stick with a product without issue. So there you have it. Primo's January and beyond 30dc. I'll be back later this morning with my first shave post of 2020. What will this month's software focus be...
Vehicle trouble us not fun for sure. Hang in there Joseph you have some mighty fine gear and soaps and enough of it to make it through 2020 with no problem. Looking foward to your 2020 shaves.
That sounds like a great year of foci, Joseph! We just had to replace my wife's 15 year old suburban, so I know how that goes.
Wow....a very pleasing beginning shave for 2020. Great work with the Crown King Brush, both in loading the BOOMTOWN Bay Rum and facial spreading. 2 solid passes. lI MIGHT try for a 3rd straight day with this soap/A.S. combination, as the Clubman Special Reserve provided a nice finish, and works well in concert with the Boomtown, from P.A.A.
January 1st Razor: Occam's Enoch Blade: Feather AC Professional (4) Brush: Grizzly Bay MaxFury Pre-shave: PAA The Cube Soap: PAA Aqua D PAA Galactic witch hazel PAA Star Jelly unscented AS: PAA Aqua D Good morning and Happy New Year! Shave four with the Enoch. Excellent shave! Three passes for near BBS. Light tickle from the alum. The blade is already starting to show its age. Just starting to get tuggy on the third pass. Binned. The next time the razor comes up in the rotation I'll go with a Schick Proline. My bar of Stirling Preshave soap was getting difficult to use. Too small to hang onto. Over nineteen months of near daily use. Made the switch to the PAA Cube V1 this morning. Much higher level on menthol. Very nice start to my shave. No repeat PAA has commenced. I'll be using them alphabetically due to my total lack of creativity. Have a great day!
Thanks Jim, and to you too . I'll see how I feel after tomorrow about going for a "rare" 3rd straight day(See how I've evolved to the 2-day plan?
Starting off 2020 with a new razor, Occam's Enoch. I'll be in once again using some new razors and a bunch of Old Stuff .
