Hello strangers! I hope everyone is doing well. I’m back and hoping to be a lot more active this year.
1) My experiment of using Every Damn Razor I Own (EDRIO), combined with a Mrs. Gulch mandated No Buy 2019, and a rigid soap rotation combined to take a lot of fun out of my shaving. I didn’t get through all my razors in a year, and still have about 30 to hone before I’ve used all of them. Since o rarely have time to sit down and hone, I ended up using the same injector a lot.
2) Using a different razor every time you shave makes it a little hard to get a feel for each one.
3) While I succeeded in not buying any new shave gear, I started a new hobby, and have almost 100 pocket knives. I guess I get passionate about all kinds of things.
As a charter member who has hardly gotten to use most of his gear in the last year, I’m doing a modified rule for January. One razor, a Genco 5/8 with Rosewood scales, with touch ups if needed on a Belgian Couticle. I’ll still rotate my soaps, but stick with the 30DCLE brush. I’ll likely do more drive by posts than keeping up with this crazy thread. Missed you guys!
