Nice shave Paul! Which soap base is your Boomtown Bay Rum (if you've posted that, my memory lost it!)?
Thanks, Paul! We don't have the profile or the clout for a major venue like the Rose Parade. There is a school in our area that has been several times and is going again next year. Another school about two hours from here went recently as well.
Great photo and shave, Adam! Route 66 was quite popular here a couple of years ago but I ended up selling or trading mine away. Good soap though.
Beautiful shave and photo Jim. Great shave and a very interesting scent Jim. PAA makes so many different things I have a hard time navigating their site. Great shave and photo Adam.
Very nice setup today Perry! Hope the 5 year check up goes well! I remember those days! Yeah....while we didn't do that, ours was lathered with a loofa thingy in the shower for a couple months which brought it down to a 'normal' size, then it was used til gone (just a week or so ago) in the utility bath as a hand soap. Never lost a smidgeon of the scent, which was 7-8 months use I think? Pretty impressive.
Perry, I was just thinking of the Rte 66 when I described my shave this morning....Kathleen's soap was quite similar to that of "Smitty"(PAA). Same soft texture(or very similar, anyway).
January 2, 2020 Enoch Feather Pro Thäter 4125/3 B&M Bay Rum Dominica Grand Bay Rum Aftershave I am moving pretty slow this morning with a stomach bug of some sort. At least I was able to get in a great shave before heading to work. The big Thater felt like a badger cloud face lathering the B&M Bay Rum. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Dominica Bay Rum and I am off to work. Happy Thursday everyone.
No, Gulfport is about 5 hours from here. Albertville High School in Alabama is the one that's about two hours away. They were in the Rose Parade a couple of years ago. Homewood High School in Birmingham is going next year.
I had to go check, and it looks like they are no longer selling soap. @Salty Belle was active on here for quite a while, then just kind of disappeared. The soaps were pretty good, and the scents were nice.
Well, I just realized I should have said "was/IS" about 66, as I had no proof they were out of business. I had their Cavendish shave soap.
Thank you, Clint! PAA definitely has a huge offering. They do have a handy scent chart, though that helps to narrow the choices down quite a bit. Pick a scent profile, and all the scents they have that fit into that profile are listed. I am not sure the seasonals are always there, but the standard scents are there.
