Personally, I think KC style ribs and St. Louis style ribs are both good. The KC style sauce though, kicks it up a notch when I stain my shirt with it. For the record, I'm wearing a purple shirt, not a pink one.

Tallow vs. Veg- Doesn't matter. How does the soap work?

Blooming a soap: not as fun as soaping a bloomer.

    And happy Friday, Charlie!

Well now my goodness me...I forgot to list a Throwback Shave this week :-(. I'm good for it for next week and beyond.

Thanks, Clint! It was a fair trade, he was having problems looking for a Tuckaway, and I wanted a #15 Gibbs to complement my #17. Love those French razors!

Awesome shave, Blair. Astro Traveler is one of my top scents. Good work on the plumbing fix. I have been dealing with them in this new house. Not much fun.

I am planning on using the Shake Sharp next week. I was checking the cutting angle on the side of my head yesterday just to get a feel for the razor.

Great Enoch shave, Blair! Sorry to hear of your plumbing difficulties. Had a similar plumbing issue myself two weeks ago. Wife’s shower leaked into the kitchen ceiling requiring caulking, unclogging and replastering our kitchen ceiling!

Sorry for the loss of a four legged life friend. Always tough, sometimes tougher than others. Best thoughts and wishes Patrick for remembering the great times with Piper!

I know it's only Jan 3, but I can't believe Cookies&Ice Cream has taken the lead on a survey looking into a very important question-when did we all come in?

I think you’ll find that the razor has a very generous sweet spot. It’s one of my three favorite dome scrapers. They are:
Shake Sharp 1.5, Vector and AS-D2.

Great MMOC shave, Tim. I’m a fan of that razor! I find that I need to be very disciplined in its use, or it bites.

So sorry for your loss, Patrick. They become such an important part of our lives in their quiet loving way! I lost my dear Hercules on 1/1/2018. I think of him ever day!

    Happy Friday, Adam!

Just kidding about the ribs...and everything else. I thought it was funny when our server at the meet up breakfast talked about KC vs STL ribs. I shouldn't be surprised, but I had no idea of the competition that existed between those two cities. I don't think I've ever had a bad plate of ribs! I bet those Kentuckysylvania ribs that @Edison Carter speaks about are top shelf as well.

Tallow vs. Veg: I place the tallow soaps slightly ahead in overall performance. Tabac is my favorite. I usually have a couple of veg soaps or creams on hand, though.

Blooming: last time I checked...water + soap or cream = lather

Pink shirts: I've had 'em. My only purple shirt has a Barney character on the front. A sweet family gave it to me (their son's favorite character was Barney). I wouldn't take a million bucks for it.

    Have a great weekend!
