I've had ribs in KC and StL. Delicious!

To bloom or not to bloom? In the end it's soap and water either way.

Tallow vs Vegetal? I always thought of myself as indifferent because I have terrific performing tallow and vegan soaps. Upon further thought I must lean toward tallow. Wholly Kaw, WSP and Zingari Man gives the option and I've opted tallow every time.

The MMOC and I are getting along better these days. My technique in general needs a bit of discipline, and this razor is teaching me--slowly but surely ;)

For the newbies, you've just been introduced to Charlie, whose middle name in his CT (and in real life) is "danger". You'll never meet a nicer guy. Seriously. The guy is an absolute sweetheart. Funny, kind, concerned, there isn't one bad thing you can say about him. But.....there lurks a dark side.....an instigator waiting to get out. It's wise to keep one eye on him at all times. More than one of us has been blamed for starting shenanigans that really came out of Northern Kentucky.

Now, to answer those questions - why would you even consider asking whether KC or STL has better BBQ ribs?! You were at the meet up last summer when the waiter CLEARLY answered that one, directly to the face of @Drygulch . Case closed. Besides, I've found a few "secret weapon" restaurants in STL that I can bring to the fight.

As for laying down a Triple Dog Dare out of the gate - Adam has been absent for awhile. I can't help myself. I've missed one of my favorite targets.

Thank you for the condolences gentlemen. Jeff, I am going through the heartache you endured when Hercules passed . I believe God sends us these wonderful friends for a reason. Sadly when He asks for them back , we suffer the loss but must always keep them in our hearts and minds forever.
Clint, I've been dreading this day for some time now and watching Piper age and then fail has taken a toll on me . Last few months have taxed my nerves just wondering how I would cope and also explaining and comforting my daughter , whom spent her entire life with her. When that day arrives , always remember the good times your friend has given you and know God has a place for our beloved companions.
I am overwhelmed at the support given to me today over my grief in this forum. In the past with learning of a members pet passing , I too have offered condolences and being an animal lover have felt their pain. This club is more than just shaving and I'm so thankful to be a part of it .

Cloudy and cool in the Lou but I'm not upset by that. It's January, after all. I'm sure if I wait a day or two there will be something totally different and, probably out of season out there. Dinner is done so it's shave time and tonight is the third round for the Fatboy and Sharpstar. Also the third night on the Soap Commander. I switched out to the Omega 10066, a top performing smallish boar brush. This is Brush of Shame (BoS) because I broke a No-buy back in 2015 to buy this brush. It's very inexpensive, too, which added to the shame. It performs, however, equally as good as any brush I own. I took my time loading it and ended up with enough lather to provide the entire crew with a week's worth of shaves I think.

Three passes that were smooth and quite nice yielded a BBS finish that put a smile on my face. Excellent shave to end a Friday with. I'm ready for the weekend. Hope you have a great one!
