This W&B was an early purchase of mine. I’ve always been fond of it but today it was exceptionally smooth and close. Then I remembered that it had only been a day since my last shave (vs my usual two or three.)

Tim, I'm not above ordering a Lather And Wood soap sometime this year. I have an Amazon card which will take care of the $$("Ahhhh, put it on my card"). Which L&W is your favorite??

I actually haven't tried lather & wood soap. The only product of theirs' I have is the pre-shave oil. It's always worked for me since I first bought it and I never wanted to change since.

Oh I see...I thought you had some others, given the shave "lineups" you provide.

Keeping the knight on the sink for a 2nd day. The skin on my neck is recovering pretty fast. The redness is nearly completely gone. I think I'll be able to have a shave tomorrow in the late morning.

***EDIT - 3 pass BBS perfect shave. Got 2 small creeper dots on my neck and used my Pinaud Styptic Pencil on them. Could ask for a more comfortable and fantastic smelling vintage shave. I wish designers would make old fashioned bath sets and modern bath sets for their fragrances. This is possibly one of the very few designer scents since the 1990's to make a full bath set including a shaving soap (not cream, but old fashioned puck) along with a classic alcohol-based splash. Nearly all designer scents today use a shaving cream (if you're lucky) and a balm. Or, if they make an aftershave splash it's almost impossible to find a cream or shave soap. I will sparingly use this old set, but gotta say that when I do use it, it's really great. And I gotta say that the Personna Twin II Plus blade cartridge with this razor gives a really, really nice shave. Very comfortable and BBS results. I'm impressed.
