  3. Hi Friends,

Shave of the day on January 5th, 2020

Razor: Rockwell 6S with plate 4
    Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium (1)
Soap: Mystic Water Soap Adirondack Jack (sample)
    Brush: RazoRock Barber 24mm
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

What can I say? How do i start?

How do you describe a shave that was so good that you just don't know how to put it into words?

I try my very best...wish me luck.

I usually run warm water over my face for a few minutes to soak the stubble. So as today. This procedure is standard.

I deliberately decided against a pre-shave today to fully appreciate the quality of the Mystic Water soap.

So wet the brush with water, press a piece of the sample into a mug and let it stand briefly with a few drops of water.

In the meantime, the blade was inserted into the razor, which looked at me cheerfully and asked:

"When can I get started? What can I do for you?"

    The answer came very promptly.

So circled with a relatively dry brush on the soap, where a very pleasantly scented foam immediately unfolded.

Applying the foam on the face felt very good and you immediately noticed that this soap would have an extremely good lubricatiion.

However, the first strokes were a bit "sobering". Minimally unfathomable and a bit "rough". So, a little more water was taken and off we went. Now the shave turned 180 degrees and the Rockwell picked up speed. What a gliding effect ... plus the razor, which cannot be beaten in terms of smoothness and gentleness.

First round ended. Control ... very good stubble removal, great skin feel.

The second round followed immediately. Here, same thing. The razor only slips over the skin, that it is a real pleasure.

Third round: what else can I say?

Nearly perfect. Little spots are cleaned up and that's it.

The only thing that was really extremely annoying, I think one or the other will know: these pimples under the skin ... they hurt and are extremely uncomfortable. One on the right cheekbone, one in the fold of the neck. Accordingly, it is a little unfathomable.

Now there were questions ... How much better does it get? Do I still need my other razors? Why don't I have this fantastic soap as a full puck?

In the background of my head I heard Sinead O'Connor singing "Nothing compares to you" ... and I am absolutely stunned by sheer enthusiasm.

I can only describe the feeling of the skin after shaving as phenomenal.

Extinguished with the Aqua Velva Ice Blue. Cool and fragrant ... wow !!!

I am blown way and wish you a wonderful Sunday. SotD 05.01.2020 Final Forum.JPG

  9. Thank you Guy. First use of the bowl was good. There is a small indent or hole inside on the bottom that I had to clean out when finished. All in all it was good.

  18. Thanks Gary...and that's exactly what it is, as I just "threw it in" for today,. so as not to mess up my rotation(since I had the problem with Stoylin Baker St. yesterday).
  19. Yeah. When I first got my bowl I had to clean too. It's been a solid bowl for me. When I first saw some other items she makes on Etsy I just 'saw' a lather bowl and knew I had to request it. And each one is unique and has character. The beauty is in the raw, natural look of the bowl.
  20. Sunday mid morning whisker removal

Cool and sunny here in Dallas - reached for the....

Blenheim Bouquet : soap, cream, ASB, AFS
Carbon razor head, Parker handle [brass]
    Personna Red ⚁

That juniper, conifer vibe in this stuff works

Just wish it][Penhaligon's] lasted longer- finished with the Blenheim oil to moisturize.

Guys, this Carbon razor is really nimble and efficient. Didn't care for the handle but impressed with the head. Solidly in the rotation for a close shaver - not too aggressive but just right. [IMG]
