  2. Thanks, Joe!
  3. Must be my accent getting in there.
  4. Very nice shave, pic and setup, Gary!
  5. Van Der Hagan is a rebranded Weishi. It is a mild razor that is poorly constructed. I had one fall apart after 1.5 yrs. I did buy a second one,, but like the first, it gets stuck by the soap getting inside the handle. I had to boil the razors to unlock them. Why did I buy a second one when I wasn't impressed with the first one. I purchased the second one because it was inexpensive and would be perfect as a travel razor.
  6. Awesome shave and pic, Doug!
  7. I shave my forehead and both temples every few weeks, Joe. Does that count as a headshave? ;)

I let nature and a gal that was born the year I graduated from High School manage the rest of my dome. Currently, nature is working harder than the gal. On the positive side, a container of hair gel lasts me at least two years.
  8. That's a fine shave, Clint! The Enoch really looks cool! I am not a Bourbon scent guy, but the way you described it has me rethinking about it for way later in the future. I have to kill off a number of tubs before I go wandering.
  9. Good shave, Evan!
Drygulch, Douglas Carey, MrEE and 3 others like this.
  10. Awesome shave, Joseph! How long before you get rid of this accursed soap?
  11. Thank you Joe. We went on a tour of a bourbon distillery when we visited Maya in Lexington. Since then I have been trying various bourbons and reading the reviews and such which has helped me better appreciate the various scents in bourbon.

  13. Lol! That's a riot, Charlie! The money I saved over the years by headshaving has significantly subsidized my den. 11 yrs x 4 barber visits every year x $18 per visit equals $792.
  14. I rarely drink alcohol, but in my youth, I liked Jack Daniels whiskey, and Chivas Regal Scotch. I wasn't a Bourbon guy.
  15. You doing color commentary for a basketball game, or complimenting on a picture? :))
  16. That sounds good, Joe. I get my haircut every 5 or 6 weeks. At $20 per visit, it adds up. I offset the cost by drinking as much of their free coffee as I can. :)

My Bride and I go together. I get a cut, and my Bride gets the works. Unfortunately, she will lose her hair when the next phase of her treatment begins. (We've been there before, and she takes it in stride. She's incredible.) She has given me strict instructions not to shave my head. I suggested that I might skip a haircut or three, since she won't be going back for awhile, and that plan was nixed too.

    "It's not pink, it's hibiscus!"
  17. Thank you, Joe!
  18. Three months between haircuts?!
  19. Very nice shave, Myles!

Admittedly, Brut is a departure for most guys your age. Do any of your friends notice or make any comments?
