Good morning, fellas!
Jones Shake Sharp Razor
2 Rockwell DE Blades (2)
Omega Pro 49 Brush
Stirling Glastonbury SS and AS
Nivea ASB not pictured
Omega 49 and the Stirling Glastonbury produced a nice wet facelather. Although this is my only Omega boar, I have to say this is quite a remarkable brush and it was under $10. This is my second shave with the shake sharp razor, but it is my first face shave. Two passes gave me a BBS without nicks, cuts, weeps or irritation. Finished with the matching aftershave and Nivea balm.
Jones Shake Sharp Critique
Pros: 1. Efficiency is good.
2. Easy to find the shave angle.
3. Mid-Range in Aggressiveness
4. Gold plating is excellent
5. Difficult to nick yourself
Cons : 1. Too much buffing is required
to get a nice shave.
2: Extra time is needed due to
buffing.
3. Knurling is non-existent, but I
didn't feel like the razor
would slip out of my hand.
4. Loading 2 blades can be
difficult because the posts
are not high enough.
5. The handle is short, so it
may be a problem with big
handed shavers.
Final Thoughts:
I am glad that
@jgreenepa, Jeff, gifted me this razor. It is a nice addition to my den. It is a very easy razor to use and it does a fine job. I will mainly use it for headshaving because I believe it will not give me any cuts.
Have a nice day, guys!
