Again I was after almond scent and I thought the Stirling could provide the performance I needed. But, today, it seemed to me to open a batch of Amaretti cookies: not something to be smelled as soon as you wake up and, above all, before 16:00! But the shaving was excellent! Tabac Tuesday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Tabac Shave Soap Jayaruh #326 Russian SHaDE Personna Half DE CWR Tabac ASB My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #326 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Russian SHaDE razor with a Personna Half blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Tuesday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Junjie/Derby day 2 Reitzer SS Fino ASB Booster Polar Ice AS Splash Music: Alton McClain & Destiny “It Must Be Love” An “el cheapo” setup but let me say it’s a fantastic one. The Reitzer from what I understand costs very little in South Africa but it outperforms a lot of expensive soaps by miles - a little blooming brings out that nice old school scent, the lather becomes so rich with great blade glide, and the skincare is so good. The Fino balm is absolutely indispensable for me at all times now, and the Polar Ice aftershave makes me smell like I just got out of a barbershop. What a brilliant BBS shave this was!
