    Nice Piacenza shave, Evan!

I noticed that my Variant at warp factor 5 gets either nippy or burn-y if I'm not very patient. I think I was too quick to give it up for me SE's. Gonna run a blade sampler through her sometime within the next two months--I really do like that razor.

Sounds like you got that razor right where you want it, Terry. Hope your busy day goes well.
One thing I'd be interested in after your focus, Jim, is whether or not there is a significant improvement in the PAA bases from the 'beginning', through the 'CK1', through the CK6. I really like B&M products, but am not sure I notice a huge improvement in the more recent bases. Different, yes, an improvement? Maybe...the Glissant is still a fave, though.
Very nice effect as always, Jim. Sage, Cedar and Rose...sounds very original and interesting.
Look at the greenery again! Awesome, Clint. Do you feel the weepers from the last few days are a result of the Feather Super Pros? Do you notice much of a difference than the regular Feather Pros?
Gentleman! Awesome, Perry. Yup, the matching aftershave may be a little much for it, good call on the WSP...
Awesome pic again, Blair. Such a 30DC thing to do- listing the brand of the Styptic in the description:)
Between you and Evan, that FuzzTech is truly one of the coolest things I've ever seen on here. Can't wait to see what the two of you design, build, finish and box for MAYhem...:scared003:
'Tis never a 'simple' shave when you bring out that beaut Senator, Gary!
Interesting. So, is the Mondial the maker of all Zenith knots, Joseph?
    Lovely combo, Tommy!
Sorry about the Red, Evan...keeps this place interesting, though!:happy097:

A great shave minus the bites Evan. When you open it up you need to have it pointed in the right direction. :D

Since I have removed the goatee, I too find shaving around the mouth cant get tricky at times depending on the razor/ blade. Maybe I'm just out of practice, but I can say that when I do rush a shave usually something goes astray. Nice combo there today Evan!

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments about the shave and the FuzzTech. A lot of the credit has to go to Evan @MrEE for his amazing work. Now far as Mayhem goes............could the shaving world stand a collaboration between Evan and Danny? :signs002: Now I am starting to think. I need to put the bucket over my head. I think better that way.

In my opinion the changes in the PAA bases is only slight in during shave performance. Where I notice the difference is in post shave feel. The latest iteration being the best of the soaps I've used so far.

    Thank you Danny.

I think the weepers are due to me being heavy handed with the Feather Super Pro blades. I am not sure I am getting a closer shave for the increased blade exposure over the Feather Pros. I used the Super Pros all the time in my Mongoose. It was milder and seemed to do a much better Job. I will likely not use the Super Pro blades in the Enoch going forward. I just need to decide if I change the blade mid week.

Today I shaved with a wonderful razor, the Fine Marvel, and it truly is! I’d read very positive reviews in Sharpologist and on some of the various shaving boards that praised its unique design consisting of a .95 blade gap and a huge blocky safety bar coupled with a sharply angled top cap. At first glance, the razor appears rather aggressive, but in actuality the shave is quite mild, but highly efficient. Jason Rodman of Ruds Shaves claimed its shave superior to artisan razors three to four times it’s price! I would agree! Interestingly, it’s design seems to harken back to the LaResche 77 of the 30s. At least the base plates have a similar exaggerated curve, although the blade gap on the LaResche is even more extreme. The only downside to the razor is the slippery chrome handle which I exchanged for a SS Barber Pole handle. I lathered up with MDC Vetyver and experienced a two pass BBS with one very minor weeper under my left jaw which cleared up after the witch hazel application. For $40, this inexpensive pot metal razor is a no brainer. It’s going into the regular rotation. I’m looking forward to shaving with it over the next few days!

    RAZOR: Fine Marvel Safety Razor
    BLADE: Suneko
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Martin de Candre Vetyver
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Fine Snake Bite AS Splash

Nice shave Jeff. I need to get my Marvel razor out and give it a go again. It is a great shaver with the right handle on it.
