I have two kids in the house, girls aged 4 and 7. They have been taught not to touch any of Daddy's sharp things. (I also collect knives.) One of my relaxing escapes is to sit down and hone razors or knives. My wife always warns people before they use our kitchen knives, you can set the butcher knife on the top of a tomato, and the weight alone will cut a really thin slice. I find sharping stuff to be therapeutic, but razors are harder than knives.

Yes, Joe, I use Cremo for headshaves as well! It really is great stuff if one is in a hurry!

Ya, I don't miss that about Vancouver. Snow falls and everyone freaks out. The rest of the country just shakes their collective head.
Victoria is worse, believe it or not. It snowed 4 inches once when I was in university there and they actually shut the city busses down. Brilliant.

You should come down South when there is a winter weather threat. Everything shuts down when a few flakes fall.

Great shave, Blair! I’m kind of glad I’ll never use a straight razor, I can do enough damage with just a safety razor. Lol

Great shave, Jason. I've had my eye on Florida Water for a while, but never pulled the trigger. Glycerined/mentholated Florida Waters sounds pretty darned cool! :D

I struggle with sharpening our knives--too impatient/heavy-handed. I can only imagine the mess I'd make of a straight. But I'll get to it one day ;)

Thank you, Jeff! Yes, that's a silvertip badger knot from Whipped Dog. Jim got it and put set it in the handle. He has another brush very similar to that one - JR #378 - that was available. He made it at the same time as this one.

Great shave, Clint! Have you ever tried Schick Proline blades? I really like them in my Vector and my Hawk!

Thank you Jeff. I have not tried the Proline AC blades. I have them in the injector size. I have so many Feather blades that I do not want to add to the mix now.
