  1. Nice combo, Terry. To be honest, I am never perfectly smooth after two passes. I am a 3 pass shaver, but don't do an excessive amount of buffing.
Very nice pic as per usual, Jim. One thing I've realized after seeing all of the PAA-centric posts this month? They put a tremendous amount of time and energy into labelling.
Lovely combo and it sounded like a great shave, Clint. I find the regular Pros sharp enough in both the CJB and BlackHawk I use them in. The Super Pros seem to take it almost past comfortable for you.
Great pic and write up, Jim. Did you attend that meetup yourself, or just order the software?
Very nice, Perry. I have no familiarity with the original English Leather. One of the few 'classic' men's scents I cannot place at all.
A very generous gift from Danny, indeed, Gary!
What do you think of the Mountain Rain, Adam? I find it ok, but not particularly memorable. I have it in a splash and it does pair nicely with a few 'earthy' type soaps I have.
That FuzzTech is soon to be a classic, Danny. Awesome!
The razor sounds fantastic, Jeff. Can't think of another head that looks quite like it, either.
Very nice, Blair! Scentless soap? Arko and Clubman should consider that idea...;)

  2. Thank you, Jason. I just ordered the software. Traveling for shave related activities is not high my SWMBO priority list and therefore not high enough in the budget priorities to get funding.

  3. Thank you, Jason! I don't know what original English Leather smells like either, but I bet this is close to one of the better versions. I heard they reformulated and the current scent is not near as good as the original.

  4. Yes it is.....but I'm afraid some funny man from KY will do a cartoon about smoking a driveway.

PAA does have some creative labeling.

Fine shave and a good location for my photo. Two passes for clean close comfortable shave. Who could ask for anything more.
Have a great day gents. Always remember none of us gets out of here alive. :happy102:

  10. You talkinabout the MEM English Leather? Oh man, what did I do???? (Never mind the last part-I hit something that made the letters tiny, now they're good).

  13. I like the scent. Its a very clean scent, that I can't pin down the components of. Mrs. Gulch says it smells like my deodorant, so of course I love it. I don't see it as a stand out, but its pretty nice too.

  14. Thank you Perry. Took a quick dip after my photo. :)
Just kidding. Had my wife with me. She was telling me to be careful the whole time I was there.

    Razor: Gillette Slim
    Blade: Gillette 7O'Clock Yellow (1)
    Brush: Simpson X3 Best Badger
    PS: Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
SS & AS: Stirling Ramblin' Man

The sample reduction continues. I have mixed feelings about Ramblin' Man. My wife did comment how much she liked it this morning. That's usually the deciding factor for me.

My shave was okay. Set the Slim to 7 and zoomed over my face really fast. Reopened yesterday's nick on the corner of my mouth, but I almost always do that the day after. It was a good enough shave. Still enjoyable.

This is one of my more recent re-plated razors. I initially re-plated it for my wife, but when she stole my 1968 Lady Gillette, I took it back. She may or may not know I took it back because we share a bathroom and I store it in the same place she did..., but it's MINE.
