I love this bit of comedic writing. You went against the code of the brotherhood of serious chem engineers, Charlie!

In my case, I always had my adjustables at max before I started straight-shaving. It is true that the blade feel is one of the nice things about a straight razor.

The big thing that got me to finally try PAA was the Creosote aftershave. He did a scent based on the desert brush that grows in the Sonoran Desert, which I'm very familiar with growing up in Arizona. When it rains in the desert, the only thing you can smell is the creosote bush. (No relation to the creosote chemical they use to treat timber and telephone poles.) The scent is clean and earthy, but really hard to describe unless you have smelled it. The aftershave just struck me as such an awesome and focused development for a scent maker, and ticked off my nostalgia button as well. I've had three of his soaps since (still have two) and use his shampoo bars often.

    Razor: Gillette NEW LC
    Blade: Gillette 70'Clock Yellow (2)
    Brush: Omega Professional 10098
    PS: Proraso Green
    SS: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    AS: Proraso Green

I really really really like the Gillette NEW LC. 3rd day in a row I was in a hurry and had to rush my shave, but today I managed to get it done with no blood and a wonderful near BBS feel.

I'm sure Danny @Hembree would give some credit to the soap. I agree the soap was a major factor, but I need the ego boost so I'll say It was all skill. :)
