Tim, excellent shave and lineup! I was not a Sandpiper fan, but I do like Aqua Velva.

That brush! Definitely the first brush I've seen with inlay--it is beautiful.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

@Jayaruh does fine work, no doubt about it. I have 4 of his brushes. I have been doing my best to avoid checking out his site lately as I don't want to part with any money at the moment, but I'm always tempted.

Our friend @Jayaruh made this brush for a friend of mine. It's a beauty!

Actually, that helps quite a bit. Thank you :D

That's what I get for DE's as well, so I imagine I'll get simar results with the gem.

That might explain why I'm getting more shaves out of this blade than previous SS blades--I'll know for sure tomorrow ;)

I fully agree (especially because when I strop gems, they get decidedly worse :angry032:

I'm getting more and more nervous, but the good news is I've got like 70 or 80 days left... right? ;)

I can understand that. Arkadia is my favorite cedar based scent, but it's too strong for my wife, so... Sandpiper (my 2nd favorite cedar based scent).

I've done balm most of my life, so Aqua Velva and Clubman are new additions for me, and I'm still surprised how much nicer the shaves turn out when I use them.

Sorry about the short answer Paul.
I had one child in my arms, telling another it's time for bed while getting some milk for another before bed time. Got up fo the 2am feeding......
He's doing fine, first sport he has wanted to play. I take him to all his practices and games so he won't miss out. So far so good, I'm hoping he continues with it, he needs something to keep him moving.
    Thanks

Yes, they are mother of pearl, the real kind.

That is a common set of traits for the 30dc.

Sat and Sun will resume the hot lather trials.

 What?!?!? No more Piggly Wiggly group outings? :angry019:, never mind I will just keep working until they resume.

I almost always add it to MdC, it improves both the lather and post shave feel for me. I do not use it with any other soaps.

Ikve been using it for about 40 yrs. I really like lime scents. This is a very full-bodied scent which is rather strong upon application, but does fade significantly after about 2hrs. It’s one of the few scents I really miss in this recent second marriage. My first wife loved it. It was her favorite AS, and she would ask for it.

So far all tests have come back negative. A complete liver profile is being done. I appreciate your concern, Jim.

One blade and ONE blade only has provided me with close to 30/three-pass shaves...The Wilkinson Chromium, aka Light Brigade. Second most as about a tie between the Personna 74's and Gillette Spoilers, which each give me about 15-18/three-pass shaves. No other blades come close.

I get about 5-7 shaves out of a Gem blade. I once got 29 shaves from a Proline AC blade, but generally toss my DEs after 2 shaves, since I do both dome and face.
