Needed to make a change this morning. I got a new bottle of Alt Innsbruck in the mail yesterday.
Some might recall that my other 5+ year-old bottle began to separate.
There were, what appeared to be oil/water separation, and these globules were darkish in color,
so I dumped it. My favorite pairing with Alt Innsbruck is I Coloniali.
They simply "work".
The Italian soap really drank up a copious amount of H2O. Indeed, without this much added water,
the soap is simply not slick enough.
Results:

I haven't used a traditional straight in a while and I was "joansing" (sic) for the dark side.
Gave the Dovo a thorough stropping, à la Primo-technique and with my skin well-prepped
with the extra-slick soap, the Dovo was a dream to use; buttery and smooth.
Excellent results sans bloodshed.
Reached for the medicated Thayer's, followed by the Alt Innsbruck.
SWMBO is not a huge fan of the Austrian juice, but once it dries off, the sweetness subsides.

My new Hiram razor arrived in the mail yesterday so today will be my last shave of the week with the Enoch. The "Soap Destroyer" loaded and lathered the Colonia with ease. I went with a traditional 3 pass shave followed by touch ups along the jaw line and buffing my lower right neck. I ended up with the a wonderful drama free BBS shave. I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday.

Brush: Omega 10049 boar
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Fat Friday! Easy shave with this combo as usual. I always enjoy The Fat and Fine American Blend is one of my favorite scents in wet shaving software. All worked together quite well.

good morning gents ,anyone up?..dumping snow here this morning so day off today..loaded the 1945 new rfb with a platinum,built a fab barrister's reserve classic lather with the razorock barrel finest badger,and proceeded to get a near bbs shave in 2+ smooth passes.no drama.classic aftershave to finish..awesome shave..will be trying some outdoor photos today for the weekend shaves..have a fine day everyone..

Moving right along with the second shave on the New LC and Rapira SS blade. Sticking with the Soap Commander as I continue to use it up, and I'll just switch from one @Jayaruh brush to another. The JR230 is up today and it's a small but soap killing brush! This little beauty turned the Soap Commander into a whipped cream consistency in about 2.8 seconds. Love the inlay work and it's definitely a top notch member in my collection. The blade and razor continue to be just as smooth as silk. The Rapira is probably the best blade for its price anywhere. Sharper and smoother than Derby, which would be in about the same price range. Very nice.

I see a lot of activity on here today so I'll be working my way through. One thing about this bunch - you give me something to do when I finally get home! I wouldn't have it any other way! Have a great Friday and start to the weekend!
