January 10th Fat Friday Razor: Gillette 195 Adjustable (E2) Blade: Gillette 7O'Clock Yellow (3) Brush: Simpson X3 Best Badger PS: Proraso Red SS: Mitchell's Wool Fat AS: Proraso Red Finally doing Fat Friday right. I do really like MWF. I really don't have much to say about this shave. Felt good. Nice and close 3 pass shave with no blood. The alum was a little warm, but no other signs of irritation. I really like this E2 Fatboy. I was the first Fatboy I plated in Nickel Acetate made from vinegar and salt. I stripped it cathodically in battery acid and glycerin. It's proof you can do a pretty good job with simple elements, but it really requires some work. Modern baths make it so much easier.
The first of mine that will bottom out should be the Lumberjack(The Soap Exchange,) which I'll be using tomorrow and Sunday. Little while yet, but that one has the lead.
Terrific picture, Evan, and the razor looks fantastic. Have you ventured into any other metals plating wise?
Great Fat Friday shave, Evan, and wonderful work on the Fatboy! The replating process is like voodoo to me, and you definitely are the Witch Doctor
Good to hear, Joseph! My wife hasn't taken BC in about 5 years... And it shows Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
