Friday January 10th SOTN My second attempt with the Occams DE tonight - I substituted the full open comb base plate and a new blade. The result was a MUCH smoother shave... Not perfect but much improved. My neck is also healing from shave #1 . The shaving angle is a little different with the ridge cap and takes a little getting used to. Yeah you called it Tim. I killed it completely this morning lol. I will be breaking in a new one this week. I had a back up from earlier orders so still v1. Sometimes I fill orders with smaller items that have higher consumption rates for the free shipping. My next order will include a v2 cube I’m sure.
Thanks Doug. I hadn’t use lump of coal or the sport aqua velva in a while and enjoyed them all week. I really like the Gillette Platinum blades. I don’t think I used them before and they lasted 2 weeks of great shaves. I will break in a new set up tomorrow but honestly I could probably get get a few more out of it without any sacrifices. Just time for a change. Steve
