Thanks Jeff....at least it was better the second pass. As I've mentioned here, one of the TSE reviewers called it a "Stoylin ripoff"(course we know what "Stoylin" is). I just call it a real nice artisan soap.

Awesome! Between my EDRIO and my NB last year, shaving wasn’t that fun. I need to gather up all the ones I still haven’t used, and spend a couple of months finish them off. I will say that being active on here this month has been awesome. I’m not going to do a NB, but I will be very selective. So bring on your best enabling!

    Bravo!

Ironically I find most big straights are the easiest to shave my upper lip. To get just under my nostrils I go in at 90 degrees and give it flick just above skin level. This combined with the fools pass works great for me.

Part of my justification of purchasing these, was that they would possibly gain some value and I could sell one to pay for the other. So far they have been pretty flat. I’ll probably hang on to them for a while longer.

    Thanks Joseph.

    Thanks Jim.
Thanks Keith. You knew I would ask this I bet , but what is the fools pass?

    Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender~~Simpson 3 "Chubby"~~Feather AC/Feather Super Professional~~Fine AS
Didn't stay focussed for long and decided to change things up with a lavender shave.
I was a bit disappointed with the C&E soap. Despite my best hydrating efforts, what I got was
a very airy soap, which naturally tended to dissipate once applied to the skin.
What helps in these incidences, is to rub the soap in with your hands,
    thus "popping"
    most of the air bubbles.
Slickness was there and the Feather Super Professional moved easily across my face.
I did have two bad touch-tones (no points, unfortunately) and needed the ubiquitous styptic pencil
    to cease the blood-letting.
Despite the mishaps, I did manage to get a good shave and the Fine Lavender Pour Homme
went on with a flourish. I do enjoy this AS, but am ridding my den of the matching soap.
Tomorrow, I will make a second effort with this C&E soap, except I am going to go back
to my Mondial and see whether or not I can get a better lather.

Based on the suggestion I got here I started adding glycerin to my AS. At least the ones that were just alcohol and fragrance. Yes, I am talking about Axe. It made a huge difference.

I keep hearing about 30DC Mayhem. I'll be following that one closely, though I don't know how much participating I'll do--if I die and leave the Better Half to look after the kids alone, she'll kill me... again ;)
