Effective 1 January 2020, 30DC HR rules provide for a No Buy Flex Schedule. Also, during the annual enrollment period, eligible troublemakers can enroll in the No Buy Deferment Plan. Historically, 98% of the 30DC members choose this benefits option.
I'm in the Florida Panhandle, and a line of storms passed through earlier this afternoon. All appears to be OK, and things have settled down now. Hopefully, everyone else will check in with a similar report.
Everytime I read one of your Dovo Shavette reports I almost order a Dovo Shavette. Glad you had a great shave even with the minor issue. DFS is still kissable and way better than diaper rash rough. The shake sharp looks interesting too.
Terry, I’m in central Alabama and we’re fine. Thanks for thinking of us. A brief period of heavy rain and gusty winds but it passed quickly. Other parts of the state weren’t so lucky. @Hembree - you guys okay?
Thanks, Charlie. I got a tracking number today. Not sure if it actually made it to the post office though. I should be using it by next weekend. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Lol! If you do get a Dovo Shavette, it has been said to be the toughest one to tame. Before, I used a straight, I learned on the Dovo Shavette. I was able to do a 1 pass headshave with the shavette at shave #16. Was it perfect, of course not. However, it gave me the confidence to get my first straight and that was a Dovo Special. I was very fortunate from day one to the present that I never severely cut myself because the Dovo Shavette taught me how to shave with a light touch. The transition from Shavette to Straight Razor was easy. Since you have used a straight, it will also be an easier transition to a shavette. The difference is that you really need a lighter touch on a shavette, especially a Dovo shavette.
Since these bennies are under the jurisdiction of the 30DC, I'd like to make sure that ALL Max Headroom 'no buys' fall under the Focus category rather than the 'Rule'. A 30DC 'rule' is goody curtailing by nature, in that you have to wait a month to try your new stuff. If it didn't have the side effect of teaching skill, I'd declare it un-American.
We had a rain white out here for about 60 seconds, wind that blew the trees sideways, then just some rain. Heard the south of us got it worse. Glad you guys are ok. Now for the others. tp
I’m considering Fat February with Mitchell’s Wool Fat. I know several of us did that in October. Considering for now and not committed yet. Or maybe MWF on MWF throughout February.
Congrats Jim that is a very cool razor. What level did you get? I have been eyeing them for a long time as well.
Thank you, Clint. I got the Level 2. I may pick up the Level 3 sometime down the road. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Cool. I’ve always been intrigued by their razors. Looking forward to your thoughts on the razor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks, Evan. I do plan on keeping it shiny. I've never used a wax to keep the tarnish at bay. I normally just wipe my bronze razor with a Cape Cod cloth to shine it up. Can you recommend a wax? Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
