Thank you Charlie. I had a good day with Mom. Maya made it safely back to Lexington in record time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks like a great way to spend the day. Wilson has grown up so much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
She is healed but still has a great deal of pain in her hip and back. Thanks for asking Paul. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just show them some of the other's collections from the past couple days! That in and of itself completely cleared my collection/hobby with wifey! Oh....and gift cards and/or purchases repetitively throughout the year from Ulta Beauty, or 'inset name here' shoe store. In all seriousness...I have a 16 year old and 17 year old (13 months apart). As my wife and I try to instill upon them, keep grades A's & B's, keep yourself out of trouble, do the right thing....and all the independence & other things a teenager needs/wants/faces work out with little drama or consequences.
What an awesome way to spend time together! Wilson would probably get along well with my children, btw--half our family went as characters in The Spiderverse for Halloween.
I have no problem agreeing with that. There is also the time factor--I just couldn't find the time to hone, strop, and basically give a straight the care it needs. I can, however, pull a dull blade out and replace it with a new one.
That's great, Tim! Wilson was Buzz Lightyear this past Halloween and I went as Woody. It was great fun. Can't wait to see what he wants to be this year. Halloween is on a Saturday so it'll be a full day of fun.
The only disagreement from me is to whether modern mass produced straight razors have a potential of increasing in value within one's life. The Focus all aluminum shavette is about as low weight as it gets. I can see it bothering anyone who is looking for it to handle like a true straight. The bulk of users of this tool are professionals. Some time back in the shavette vs straight debate, Glen Mercurio @gssixgun offered the best alternative - shavette and straight. I view the expenditure requirements for each piece of shave gear as options for consideration. I'll soon be posting my shave on an $18 straight found in an antique store soon. It shaves as well as unique straights that I've paid near $300 for. One can find a similar price spread in replaceable blade straights. You will not hear me being critical of Dovo shavettes, they have a huge following amongst professional barbers. When my wife went to barbering school the Dovo was the tool they provided. She used it on me to pass her board exam. That included the cottonball test. I encourage anyone eyeing up a shavette purchase to give it their full consideration. They can shave cottonball smooth.
Went through Colorado for the first time in my life last summer on a road trip with the family. You all have a gorgeous state
