    Myrsol Agua de Limon

Monday again...Entirely too soon. The big boar whipped up the Frozen Mojitos into a rich slick lather. The scent seemed to help overcome the rainy messy morning. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I am on my way for a wonderful commute. ;) I hope everyone has a great Monday.

    January 13 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette Red Tip
    Blade: Voskhod
    Brush: PAA The Solar Flare
    Lather: PAA Cold Spices
    Aftershave: PAA Cold Spices
    Additional Care:
    PAA Mysteriun Serum

It was a two pass BBS this morning, and was just a really smooth, easy shave overall. This scent is clearly a dupe of Old Spice, and to me it is pretty close to the vintage juice I have, which is most definitely different than the current version. This has a bit more of a powdery note to it than Vintage Old Spice, which I actually find I like. It is a great scent. I hope everyone has a great day!
  4. Beautiful picture, Clint!
  5. Excellent picture and shave, Jim!

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum
    Razor: Schick I1
    Brush: Ever Ready 100T badger
    Soap: Oleo New City
Post: Witch hazel, Oleo New City aftershave

This is my only Oleo soap and I find it to be of high quality. Easy lather, nice and slick, with good post-shave feel. This scent is great as well. Their aftershave has a nice face feel with a decent dose of menthol. All around stellar products in my opinion. Wonderful shave with this combination.

    Have a great day!

This morning I decided to shave with my Eclipse Red Ring, whose baseplate reminded me of my Occam’s DE aggressive plate for comparative purposes, which turned into a bit of a fool’s errand, with me as head fool. The head geometries are different. Apples and oranges are both somewhat round and fruity and the Eclipse and Occam’s are both safety razors designed to shave whiskers. That’s about as fair a comparison as I can make. Both are great razors, but the Eclipse demonstrates more blade feel. I really like both razors, and that’s about where I’m going to leave it. The Eclipse delivered its usual two pass BBS and shaved through my usual trouble spots with smooth, bloodless aplomb well cushioned on a slick, shiny, highly-mentholated MWF lather. I will say that I do like the additional heft of the Occam’s more, but the end product is identical. I feel smooooth, cooool, clean and refreshed.

    RAZOR: Eclipse Red Ring
    BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat salted with 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Old Spice Fresh Lime
