What happens when the previous days' shave was so close that you don't really need to shave 24 hours later? You shave anyway! 2 pass BBS, 2 light buff touch ups, 1 corner of mouth weeper on the first pass. Awesome face lathering with Jason's BRM handle and a beastly 28mm TGN silvertip, almost a shame to rinse out lather after only 2 passes. Followed Jim's lead, squeezed the brush out and rubbed in the lather remnants for face luxury while cleaning up the tools. Warm water rinse, Star Jelly application, finished with PAA's John Frum aftershave & cologne.

John Frum....could almost live with this fragrance from PAA as my only example from them (but that would be way too boring, there are so many great ones). Scent Profile: Sicilian Cedrat, Black Pepper, Sea Salt, Ambergris, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Kava Kava, White Musk & Animalic Musk. The ingredient description and history on PAA's website is one that's quite extensive. I get musky citrus pepper profile first to my nose. This fragrance lasts 8-12 hours for me, with about a teaspoon application.

Hope everyone has an awesome Monday!

Well, it had to happen... winter break is over, and I'm back to work (keeping up with this thread starts to get tough now). I was still pretty smooth from yesterday's shave, so figured I'd make my 2 passes XTG and ATG. Things went fairly smoothly--pinprick sized weeper on upper lip that disappeared on re-lather and never came back. Probably resulted in skipping the WTG pass. Takeaway: chin and upper lip should probably always start with WTG passes. Still, BBS and close to no irritation, but considering the focus of my January 30DC was the eradication of irritation and not BBS, gonna have to call this a soft fail.
    • MMOC: I'm still sticking with this razor, although at this point I really do feel like I'm getting her dialed in
    • Texas on Fire soap from Stirling: I'm liking this scent profile more and more as I use it
    • Aqua Velva (blue)--Frost Drops enhanced: my wife had a glass bottle with a dropper that used to be a part of her plethora of mysterious cosmetic voodoo paraphernalia. She labeled it so she wouldn't mistake it with one of hers (perhaps Paula's Choice Super Booster is also a windex-y clear bright blue). The dropper puts out the perfect amount of AS for me :D

Looking forward to kids walking through the doors tomorrow. Not looking forward to today's get-ready-for-the-new-semester meeting marathon, though. Well, at least I'm feeling good, smooth, and ready for action. ;)

    Have a fantastic day, folks!
