Be advised small prices are exacted at certain times from estrogen units hearing such descriptions verbiage.

  8. My shave this morning, the middle of my Central Texas Soaps/Clubman set, was essentially a "dupe" of yesterday's. I wet the brush a little more than I should have, which led to a half-soap half-water application of the Grandpa's Barbershop on my face and neck(particularly my face, as I dipped the brush into the soap again before doing the neck). Here's another "dupe"-that being the fact that the second pass was called in from the bullpen(to borrow a section of Mr. Cawtuh's report from the other day), and saved the shave. Dabbed on a little more Clubman today than yesterday, and once again finished with the Clubman Talc. Let's see if I can close out this set tomorrow with a more perfect shave.

Another nice shave with the New Deluxe. This soap is still kicking, so I brought out the soap destroyer. Nope, still has a pulse for another shave.
3 passes later and I am quite smooth, with one tiny weeper on my chin that didn’t even have the gumption to last thru the witch hazel. Love this Tobacco Tuesday combo.
    Have a great day all!

  12. Glad you were able to save the shave, Paul!
    Great shave and picture, Jason!
  13. Thanks Jim....I do need to be more careful with my brush under the tap to begin the shave.
  14. Thank you, Jim and Clint!
  15. Very nice, Jason! I'm hoping to build some funds and purchase a new bottle of the Jeeves Tobacco splash since we found out Byron is running the website. I miss that scent. Thinking of pairing it with Stirling Gentleman for a signature Tobacco Tuesday shave. :)
  16. Nice shave, Tom!

Returned from Pleasant Hill, TN yesterday, and all I can say is it’s nice to be home, and have reliable internet service again. My apologies for being unable to participate as fully as I like. The spotty service from Friday to yesterday was frustrating! In any case, shave #3 continues to reinforce my very positive impressions of the Occam’s DE. I really like the aggressive plate on the razor which actually is quite efficient. The Grooming Dept’s Donkey Milk Soap whipped up beautifully with my Jayaruh Custom Two Band Badger brush. The longer rosewood handle, besides being very attractive, made it easier to soap up the back of my head. In addition the lather combined beautifully with the PAA Cube Preshave soap to again deliver an incredibly close first pass. So close, in fact, that my second pass consisted mostly of some selective buffing in my regular three trouble spots around my face. Using the same double soap prep on the noggin sunk all the balls! The alum block revealed some very slight heat in the middle of the back of my head, but otherwise, DFS all around. I feel clean, smoooth, and refreshed.

    RAZOR: Occam’s DE
    BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
BRUSH: Jayaruh Custom Two Band Badger with Rosewood Handle
    SOAP: Grooming Dept’s Donkey Milk
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Aqua Velva (Spanish Version)
