oooh, I for-de-got about that dude... what scent did we decide on?

Atreides? We could send him the new/improved safe-level-of-EOs formula... I haven't actually tried that with Atreides yet, but I suspect it will be just fine.

Or did we decide Capn's Galley? I can't promise that it will smell exactly like the ones you and Profsaffel got, but the new formula is a nice blend.

 

No cream... just soaps.

I would recommend mixing up all the scents then only adding about 20 or 30 drops of the whole mixture to the soap.

Or reduce all portions of scents by a factor of 5.

being my only (so far) open-comb, it's getting the biggest share of rotation at the moment
I've found a few blades that don't work well with it, but by and large it's great...I can even use blades in it I can't otherwise, like Derbys and Crystals

Hey Mike, what scent did you decide on?

 

the thread about UAASCSC makes me a little sad. I didn't know Rolls well but his passing was so abrupt. Seems like he was burning his cars just yesterday.

And I'm concerned my face can't handle all those EO's in your soap. I have sensitive skin. I regularly use non-scented or very lightly scented products.

 

Don't worry, I've lowered the concentration of EOs, though nobody who's ever tried the high-powered stuff has complained, yet.

I'll be glad to cut them even further if you think it will be a problem... maybe I could just douse a cotton swab with the scents and throw it in the box with an unscented puck! Then you can just take a whiff with before lathering up!

 

Heh. If you cut the concentration from the original amount listed then I think that'll be fine.

The original ingredient list made my face itch just reading about it....

And did you borrow the Atreides name from Dune as an original way to name a spice scented soap? And am I having a Steve Carrel moment where I state the obvious and everyone laughs at me?

What is this about Jim not having used one of the beloved open combs. This just isn't possible is it?



BY the way... just spent 1.5 hours soaking my eyes in eye-bleach.. OK went swimming, but my eyes are red and painful all the same. And those cuts from last nights straight shave aren't feeling so great either!

 

The Sheraton that Mike sent me is my first open comb, I've been using it quite heavily since that time.
He's getting a soap because he refused to take payment for the razor, so I thought of the soap.
as for the eye-bleach thing, I hear you. we went swimming over the weekend, my eyes were red and painful too...the worst part though, is I spent a considerable amount of time shaving that morning, had an incredibly peaceful, luxurious time (OCM, "Kyle's prep", and even took a couple of straight razor passes), then ruined the whole thing going swimming (if I had known we would be going swimming, I wouldn't have put so much time into it)

 

and some people wonder why our (as a nation) education system is a pile of crap

 

Yeah.. and local news is using this as an example of greedy teachers. How about a stupid legal system where only a small group of people hear these cases and they only meet a few days a month. Simple solution, hear more of these cases and get through them!

 

Holy Crap-ola! I had no idea other states had teacher unions, especially with such power. In Texas, it doesn't take much to give someone the boot.

 

exactly...or, how about a healthy dose of common sense and change things up?
sure, keep the union, but the teacher messes up, breaks a rule, whatever, tough luck buster, welcome to the unemployment line and reality

In this day of false accusations, teachers need to have some amount of due process. Othewise, if a teacher lost a job the instant that a parent/student made a false accusation to get even, teachers would be in a constant rotation and the education system would be in chaos.. wait a minute.. I guess it is too late for that.
