  5. Enjoyed the story about your grandfather, what a great memory. Nice watch too.

When I lived in Tucson I remember the influx of 'snow birds'. When I lived in Tucson we considered Yuma to be in the middle of no where so I was surprised to hear there is also an influx of snow birds to Yuma.

    What brands did you sell?

I also decant my Clubman in to glass, it deserves better than plastic.

You will need to overcome that reflex when you start with straights :shocked003:

  6. Saturday Shave: Today was the hot water test for TOBS and I supersized it, Kent BK 12 and my monster sized scuttle. The shave was also all British except for the strop and aftershave, the razor was a Drew Dick all the way from England.

It seemed like the lather in super sized scuttle was just a little less hot than in my usual smaller scuttle. The later looked very airy, even when I applied it my face... but the performance was superb, nice and slick. A very impressive performance under the hear for TOBS. The DD razor has a nice edge on her and every thing came together for an epic shave.

  15. I had not dropped a shaving tool, but when I took up straights I got in the habit of laying a clean dry washcloth on the closed toilet lid for the razor to be set on while relathering.
The extra step serves me as a safety buffer and keeps the tool dryer.

Dropped one straight early on....definitely stay out of the way & let it hit the floor!

Like Danny and Bill mentioned, extra wash cloth or hand towel next to sink. I didn’t disturb the force....bought extras matching those wifey already had in the bathroom.

  18. Hello everyone, hope your day goes well!
Nice Saturday morning, cold sleet, rain and wind. Still no a match for a nice, Micromatic, Bay Rum, start to the day.
Took the spline off the blade to help improve the shave. Had two bumps pop up over night, one on the top of the head, one on the side of the chin. I figured the one on the chin was from yesterday's ATG shave, not sure about the top of the head. 2 passes on the face and a little leak from flattening out the one bumb on the chin, nothing bad. Nice, smooth, clean. The gord got 2 passes also. The bump on top is no more, as expected. Very nice shave this morning.
20200118_073601.jpg Very small amount of leakage, no other issues.
I recomend a good shave on a rainy, icy morning.
    All
    Enjoy!

  19. An awesome shave Terry and a great way to start the day!
  20. "Shavette Fu" incoming...
Thanks, Clint. The weather report was a scare-tactic as usual. At least in my neck-of-the-woods.
Thank you, Jeff. I do feel better, but this cough and slight bronchial congestion is plaguing bot me and Dr. Mrs. Primo.
    Thanks, Jimbo.
Made it home without issue, James. Thanks.
Feel good to empty a tub, doesn't it, Jason?
Thanks, Daniel. I first listened to all of the published ASOIAF while I was traveling back and forth to my university job. Now I am re-"reading" them. I have all of the first-editions and GOT is signed by GRRM. I wish he would get off of his lazy-rich butt and finish the series. I fear he will expire before completion.
    Thank you, Andrew.
If that boar brush doesn't become your favorite, Clint, I will eat my hat. (Knot only)
Thanks, Gary. Our countertop is mottled grey, but who's counting? ;)
