  5. Great Micromatic shave, Terry! How does removing the spine on a Gem blade improve your shave?
  6. Hope things continue to improve for you both!

  8. Hey Jeff..
Thanks, it seems to make it more efficient (read aggressive), at least to me. The trick to an effective shave with the MMOC, IMO... if you feel the blade, you need to ride more cap.
    Nice razor!

  11. For this morning's shave, I think I applied too much of the Stoylin Spice A.S. I'm not talking Niagra Falls, but I really must be careful with this one. Pleasantly surprised at how the brush loaded the soap(Stoylin Spice also). My first pass missed the neck corners(the angle lines of the "Y") , but I got them on pass #2. Back with the same tomorrow, I hope to go easier on the splash.Let's call this "a little excellent".
  12. Wonderful shave, pic and post, Terry!
I don't blame you for going extra on the aftershave because it is a fine scent. Excellent shave, Paul!
  13. That it is, Joe. Comes quite close to Shulton. The talc powder post-shave IS a Shulton original.
  14. Very Nice Terry. Bay Rum is a perfect start to a cold wet morning.
  15. You helped enable the purchase. I am sure I will like the boar brush. I am looking forward to seeing the matte finish in person.

    Good morning, guys!
    Traditional Straight Razor Shave #146
    Thiers-Issard Spartacus 6/8 Round Pt
    Semogue Super Badger Brush
Stirling Blood on Steel SS and AS
    Nivea ASB
I haven't used BoS (Tsuka) in awhile, so I decided to shave with it this morning. This is a wonderful scent. My Semogue made a nice face lather to prep my 41 hr whiskers to be whisked away. I believe this is only the 3rd time I have used this TI razor and I should use it more often because 2.5 passes gave me a delightful BBS shave. Didn't get any blood loss or irritation. Finished with the matching aftershave and Nivea to top of an epic shave. Under my old grading system, this would have been a 99. Have a wonderful Saturday, fellas! 20200118_084350.jpg 20200118_084350.jpg
