Well, things didn't get quite as bad weatherwise as they thought, but bad enough. I cut the day short when the freezing rain started. Never did get much snow here, if any, but did put down a little ice and now the monsoons are moving back in with rising temps, so we'll be ice free by midnight. Flood watches and warnings out again. Meh - life in the Lou. Hold your breath, the weather will change.
I rotated razors around to the Gillette 1918 Old Type tonight. Appropriate, since this is the first razor I started my first rule with in the inaugural January 2015 30DC. It only lasted 5 days as I just couldn't take the aggression back then and switched to the Aristocrat to finish the month. Now, five years and a whole lot of perfection of technique later, I put the Rapira Super Stainless blade in it and had an absolutely smooth and comfortable 3 pass shave leading to a BBS and quiet alum. Quite a change from five years ago when this razor and a Voskhod set me on fire for five days! For the newer members - hang in there - you do learn and get better.
Lather was again Soap Commander as I motor through that tub. The small Semogue 620 boar took about 3.4 seconds to produce a mountain of lather. Great shave all the way around.
Hope your weekend is dryer than ours! Have a great one!!
