Milksteak Monday I think I've dialed this lather in and it was glorious. The Model T did its job smoothly and without drama. I think Defiance is a pretty good pair with US, and it has a little menthol as well. Menthol Monday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Fine Snake Bite Shaving Soap Jayaruh #383 RazoRock Black Hawk Feather Professional CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Fine Snake Bite Shaving Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #383 2-band Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the RazoRock Black Hawk razor with a Feather Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Shaves of the week: This last week marked the beginning of returning to my usual routine of using different soaps or creams for each shave after a two month run using an arko shave stick and bundubeard coffee. It was also My first shave with the pearl OC which was very generously sent to me in a PIF a few months back. I suspect it has a blade alignment issue with the one side of the blade being over exposed compared to the other. I'll post a photo of what I'm talking about for you guy's to see, but other than that it definitely did the job. Menthol Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 (16°, feels like 7°) Hot wash with Gatsby Facial Wash Ex Ice Cold Cooling Gel Razorock 26mm Monster Stirling Lemon Chill shave soap, face-lathered Brass handle w/Gillette Trac II Plus (1) 3 passes, touch up Cold rinse Alum Stirling GLC Witch Hazel Stirling GLC Post Shave Balm Stirling GLC AS Splash Osage Rub Not really a good shave. Rough spots, one nick, a few weepers. But the menthol felt AWESOME! For those who use the Trac II: Do you apply no pressure, as with a DE or SE? If you do apply pressure, do you apply it to the leading edge of the cartridge, or the following edge? Thanks.
Menthol Monday: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/new Derby Bundubeard African Potato X 3 SS Prep ASB B&M Arctique AS Splash Back to my cherished 1950s Super Speed which I loaded with a brand new Derby blade. This African Potato X 3 soap is magnificent - the scent is so nice, I can’t believe how thick the lather gets, and just like the Kameelperd’s Kick or the Stirling Glacials it feels so cold that it’s borderline painful. (In a good way, of course!) I enjoyed the massage with the Prep, and the Arctique aftershave smells so nice, not to mention how frigid it is. Three passes gave me a hell of a great shave! Wishing you all a good week! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
