Razor - Gillette 1918 Old Type
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Iced Pineapple
    Brush - @Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

What a beautiful Monday! Got all the way up to 20 F today so it was tempting to head to the beach! When shaving time rolled around I realized it was also Menthol Monday - so out came the Iced Pineapple. Temperature at the time of the shave? 18 F. Even better to get a nice heavy menthol soap going. The scent of this one, though, more than makes up for any extra chill. Mmmmm, mmmmmm good!

The 1918 with Rapira did an easy three pass BBS with only one tiny nick. Not sure what happened but I suspect a momentary lapse of angle got me on the jawline, right side by my chin. Didn't really show blood. Just a tiny red dot that burned like fire with the otherwise quiet alum. That certainly doesn't take away from this shave. It just proves that the 1918 can bite when you least expect it. Hope you had a great start to your week. Happy Tuesday!

Shave #2 on this Feather blade and could start to feel slight tugging on the chin area late in the shave. I'll try for shave #3 tomorrow. The Proraso cream and Post Shave Tonic did their job though. Happy shaves all.

This morning I opted for an almond soap: only 5 turns to load the brush and I had enough foam left for another 3 or 4 passes.
Exceptional performance of blade, razor and even balm, which was time I was not using.
